Description

Once in a lifetime 1966 Chevelle Sport Coupe. I had been looking for a Chevelle for about 2 years when this one became available. When I got it, it had been in the same family for 50 years and only 91,000 miles, it was bought new in Washington state, passed from father to son. It had been completelytaken apart in about 1998 or 1999, theoriginal 327 and power glide were sold.It wasstored indoors, waitingfor a bigger engine and transmission combination. Some newparts were bought and installed, but the car wound up sitting apart until I bought it in July of 2016. At that time I decided that I would build it in a totally different direction. I looked for something that might make it one of a kind, and decided to leave the original sheet metal andpatina alone, and go with the latest engine and transmission that I could find. After a little research I found a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V LT4, Supercharged, Direct port injected, 6.2 litre, 640 horsepower, engine and 8L90, 8 speed automatic transmission, with 2,445 miles on it. I don't think I was the first one to actually haveone of these LT4sdone and driving, but I've not seen another one yet.I built it all myself, nothing was available when I started the build. It is absolutely a blast to drive. It has Hotchkis suspension front and rear, Curry 9 inchFord 3:70 Tru Trac with 31 splineCurry axles. It has powerBaer disc brakes front and rear, Red top quick ratio power steering box. This car is not perfect, I did not build it to be, I built it to drive and look original, and it drives very well, and looks sweet. I have replaced all of the soft trim in the car, windowseals, and rubber bump stops. Legendary seats and door panels were installed as well. The car body is very straight and solid, 2 small rust spots on the lower corners of the front fenders, they cannot be seen unless you remove the lower rocker moldings. Regal Red, is the original color, and it was repainted in the early 80s but it was not taken apart for this. Most people really like that I didn't destroy any of the originality of this Malibu. Lots of new items, Vintage Air A/C,Ididit tilt, BFG tires, Raceline wheels,Griffon customradiator, newwindshield, Odessey battery, Dakota Digital gauges with GPS,power steering pump, Randy's spoilers pro-touring spoiler, new Tanks fuel tank with electric internalfuel pump, 2 1/2"custom exhaust with Flowmasters, sounds awesome, front and rear bumpers rechromed, a couple of small headlighttrim pieces were lost so I got repops.I know there will be many questions for me to answer on this car and will be honest on allof them. I have driven this car about 3,500 miles this year, no issues at all. HasThe car is also for salehere locally.I am located in south eastern Washington state. 509-366-5557, Did I mention thatthis Chevelle is fast just the way it is?
