1963 Chevrolet Impala "Shorty"
Description
1963 Chevy Impala 4 door that has been sectioned into a 2 door Shorty vehicle. When I bought the car 12 years ago, the guy I got it from would drag race it on the 1/8 mile strip in his home town. It was not real fast, but he had fun with it. I bought it and drove it for one day and then we pulled out the engine and trans in our shop. We removed the bumpers and hardware and I started to sand it down. I primed it and sanded it some more. The wife wanted me to move it out of the garage and so I put it under an awning. It has been there for a long time now and the wife says that either the car goes, or I go. Well, I do not have the time to complete my project and so it is up for sale. I have a completed 1955 Shorty that I drive around occasionally and just don't have the time for the '63 project. It has rusted floor pans and trunk pan, also some rust around the front and rear glass. The hood is probably not worth repairing, however the fenders and panels are fairly solid. The mileage on the odometer shows 75,007 miles and I can only assume that it has rolled over 100,000 miles. I do have all the parts that we removed from the vehicle, in my shop. The title that I received from the seller had the correct VIN number on the title and the car, however the title says that it is a '62 Chev, not a '63. The 3rd and 2nd to last photos are of the car when I purchased it. The last photo is of my completed '55 Chevy Shorty. Please send me a message if you have any questions. Thanks!
