Description

Hello. I am selling a numbers matching L68 400HP, 427.Muncie 4 speed, posi traction rearend custom corvette. There were only 2072 cars produced with this engine option. The story goes like this: The car was originally built in Seattle around 1974 for a boat captain that worked in Seattle.it was featured in a couple magazines and was on a show circuit. Unfortunately, I don’t have any documentation only conversation with previous owners. It features beautiful candy apple paint, custom sidepipes, flared fenders, new wheels and tires,L88 style hood,T-tops,new carpet, brakes w/calipers,factory tilt-telescoping steering wheel, speed warning, deluxe interior, air conditioning, (not hooked up),power windows, power brakes, power steering, and Am/fm radio.i have installed a new electric distributor, replaced the power steering control valve w/all new hydraulic hoses. Rebuilt big block radiator, new hoses, belts, ect. I bought the car with a bad main bearing,so the engine has been professionally rebuilt with new 30 over pistons,10/10 rods and crank, line bored, decked, and balanced. The heads have had new hardened seats installed, upgraded valve stem seals, and valve springs that match new camshaft. The engine is broke in and has less than 500 miles on it.i have all the paperwork. It runs flawlessly and has a great exhaust cackle. The car would have been equipped with a tri-power carb setup but it’s been removed sometime in its life and replaced with a 1969 cast high rise manifold with a Q-jet. Unfortunately I don’t have the origina tri-power. This car is a blast to drive and is a time capsule out of American history. Please... serious inquires only. Thanks for looking. Ben.
