Description

Ok boys and girls, here is a 1970 Blazer 4x4 for your bidding consideration. This particular truck is very unique as it's not all rusted out in the usual places like almost all of them are or have been at one point. I hope to not bore anyone, but i'm going to go through each part of this truck and describe it as if I were looking at buying this vehicle. The only rust repair that needs done on this truck are both rocker panels need changed, they both have some rust through, nothing horrible but as easy at it is to change these, theres no sense trying to save the originals. Also on the very bottom of the drivers side kick panel, it has barely rusted away a sliver of metal. Thats really it. The floors are all rock solid from the firewall all the way to the end of the cargo floor. Everything! The rear quarters in front of the rear tires where they like to rust, up against the backs of the rocker panels, 100% rock solid, no rust ever. I tried to show those areas in the photos. The rocker boxes, body mounts, frame, windshield frame, fenders, core support, inner fenders, all rock solid. The battery tray had a little in it but it has been replaced. Both doors are 100% rock solid also, the drivers door has a little dent on the inside lower area. Nothing major, you can see it in one of the pictures. Everything white is original paint. The guy I bought this from had sprayed primer on the two quarter panels and front fenders. His thoughts were to keep it from rusting. He said that no body work was done before applying the primer, which is evident by the dings and few dents he sprayed over. It seems that the primer is catalyzed so it doesn't wipe off with laquor thinner. There is nothing major dent wise on the body that would warrant changing any panel. The body is simply amazing compared to most. The engine is from what I can tell by the numbers, the original 350. Ive added a new Edelbrock performer intake, new 1406 600 electric choke carb, new HEI distributor, edelbrock valve covers, new battery, battery cables, hoses, belts, coolant, air filter, fuel pump etc etc. The motor runs like a sowing machine. It starts effortlessly and idles and runs great. No smoke and no leaks. No funny noises either. The tranny works fine, it runs and drives great. I haven't taken it far, maybe 5 miles total but I did crank it up to 50 or so and it pulled great and handled just fine. It stops like it should, has power steering that works like it should. It runs a TH350 and NP205 case. I also replaced the front bumper with a new GM approved Goodmark bumper, and new bolts. The tires are brand new with no miles. The seats are originals and will need new foam and upholstery. The drivers seat slides forward and back with no issues. There is no rear seat with the truck but I do have a few laying around. If someone wants one we can talk about throwing one in.I got all of the lights working thought out the truck, the parking brake works too. The original radio and speaker are in place. No speaker holes cut anywhere. The dash pad was junk and was removed. All glass is in tact and crack free. The top is in very nice shape, no real cracks to speak of. The hatch has a few cracks but all are very fixable. All hardeware is in tact and functions as it should. The tailgate is almost mint, it has a small dent on the outside lower part. The hood and cowl are in superb shape. I added an original pair of hubcaps they look good, also I'm including a new pair of rocker panels. 4x4 works great and is complete. windshield wipers work.Anyway, you get the idea. This is a nicecanvas to start your next orfirst Blazer build. You won't have to spend the first month fixing rust which is pretty much miserable. If you know what your looking at here, you know how special and rare this truck is. The title is clean and clear, ready to go. All vin numbers match throughout the vehicle. There is no warranty on this truck, and it's sold as is where is. I'm more than happy to work with your shipper to get it loaded up if thats the route you go. PLEASE DONT BID ON THIS TRUCK UNLESS YOU PLAN TO OWN IT!!When bidding on an item here oneBay, it's no different than being at a live auction. If you win, you own it. This is a no reserve auction so bid to own. If you want to own it before the auction ends,I'm fine with that too. I've done it both ways many times.Any questions feel free to ask. Also I have and can take as manyadditional pictures asyou'd like. Just let me know. Thanks and happy bidding!!
