Patterned after the famed “Mako Shark” show car, the 1968 Corvette represents the first year for the popular and increasingly collectable 3rd generation Corvette. Affectionately referred to as the Chrome Bumper Era and only lasting for 6 years, these 3rd generation Corvettes have begun to take a strong hold in the collector car arena. With rare examples fetching prices well into the $200,000 range, Chrome Bumper Vettes of all configurations are highly sought after prized collector pieces.

Records coming with this car include a past Scottsdale, Arizona title showing California registration back to April 22nd, 1971, and 39,599 ‘Actual’ odometer miles in October 2006. It then traveled to Odessa, TX in 2007 where it would stay for the next 10 years. We would have a difficult time documenting the odometer accuracy, so it will be sold mileage exempt, but today reads shows 39,745 miles while on our showroom.
Already fully restored in the recent past, this is an excellent way to get into the Corvette collector hobby, be it for pure pleasure or as an investment. It continues to showcase very will and sincerely fresh with only hints of being driven. As a great driving example, the paint shows smooth & glossy throughout, and the interior is free of rips, cracks or tears. It retains all the correct components that include the smog pump & equipment, Winters foundry aluminum intake, 750cfm Quadrajet carburetor (1969 issue), 5-blade clutch fan, correct distributer, correct alternator, GM hoses and tower clamps, correct braided spark plug wires, ignition shielding, correct stickers & other presentation fixtures, along with factory spare tire and original tools. Corvettes are blue chip investments and original cars like this one are like money in the bank. Please feel welcome to call with additional questions or schedule a chance to review in person.
