Description

UP FOR AUCTION IS A RARE 66 427 425 HP VETTE THAT I SOLD IN 1980 AND REPURCHASED IN JANUARY OF THIS YEAR FROM THE FRIEND I ORIGINALLY SOLD IT TO. IT WAS DRIVEN TO 1984 THEN HID AWAY UNTIL THIS YEAR. WHEN I BOUGHT THIS CAR BACK IN 78 IT HAD BEEN RODE HAR, BUMPED IN THE FRONT AND WAS PRETTY RUFF. THE L72 ENGINE RAN GREAT THOUGH AND I PULLED THE MOTOR AND PUT IT IN A REALLY NICE 427 CONVERTIBLE THAT I DROVE FOR AWHILE AND LATER SOLD. THIS VETTE WAS ORIGINALLY NASSAU BLUE WITH BRIGHT BLUE INTERIOR AND EQUIPT WITH FACTORY SIDE EXHAUST (SIDE EXHAUST COVERS ARE IN INCREDIBLY NICE SHAPE) TINTED GLASS, M20 4 SPEED, F41 SUSPENSION, POWER BRAKES WITH RARE J56 OPTION. THE CAR IS MISSING THE ORIGINAL FRONT CALIPERS BECAUSE I REPLACED THEM WITH STANDARD REBUILT CALIPERS TO GET BRAKES ON HER BACK THEN. ADJUSTABLE BRAKE VALVE AND CALIPER REINFORCEMENT BRACES ARE STILL IN PLACE. COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL NICE DRIVER QUALITY 66 HUBCAPS. THE WHEELS PICTURED ARE THE ONES THAT HAVE BEEN ON IT SINCE 1980. MOST OF THE STAINLESS TRIM IS NICE. THE ORIGINAL BIG BLOCK RADIATOR IS ALSO STILL THERE. THE CLUSTER IS ORIGINAL ALSO AND IS CODED AS SUCH ON THE BACK. THE TRANS IS DATE CODED AND TAGED CORRECT FOR CAR BUT THERE IS NO VIN PRESENT. THE ENGINE THAT IS PICTURED I BOUGHT FOR THE CAR WAS A VETTE L72 ENGINE WITH ALL CASTING NUMBERS AND DATES CODES BEING CORRECT AND PERFECT FOR THIS CAR WITH NO EXPENSE SPARED ON MACHINE WORK PREPARATION AND PARTS. THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINE BUILDERS NUMBER CAN BE PROVIDED. THE ENGINE IN THE CAR WAS A 63 327CI THAT RAN GREAT UNTIL IT WAS PARKED. THE UNDER CARRIAGE TUB, FIREWALL, BIRD CAGE AND FRAME ARE STILL REALLY SOLID. THE BODY WORK WITH REAR FLARES AND 67 SIDE FENDERS AND PAINT AND INTERIOR CHANGE TO BLACK WAS DONE BY ME WHEN I WAS ONLY19 YEARS OLD AT MY DADS BODY SHOP AND AS THE PICTURES SHOW IT STILL LOOKS OLD SCHOOL AWSOME. THE CAR IS UP FOR SALE BECAUSE I DONT BELIEVE I HAVE THE TIME AVAILABLE FOR A PROPER RESTORATION, WITH A COUPLE OF EXPENSIVE PROJECTS AHEAD OF IT. BUT IT WOULD BE AWSOME TO DRIVE AS IS WITH THAT 427. I HAVE THE GA. TITLE FROM 1980. GOOD LUCK BIDDING AND MESSAGE ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS.
