Description

This 1956 Chevrolet 210 Wagon represents your chance to own not just a classic, but a freshly restored one at that. Combine an already classic appearance with a bevy of those new parts, as well as a few well-selected upgrades, and you have a vintage Chevy read to hit the road in style and ready to deliver all the performance you'd want!
Chevy wagons of this era have been memorialized in countless movies and it's easy to see why. That stout, sturdy exterior and long roofline extending almost all the way to the back confer both style and dependability, as if to say, "We've got you covered." This 210 came out of Van Nuys, CA and looks as if it hasn't seen any severe weather or salted roads. Those areas prone to the ravages of time have all been well-looked after, as there are new bumpers both fore and aft, new taillights, as well as an entirely new liftgate. The two-tone paint of matador red and white is a close variation on the option first offered when this car was new, and it looks great contrasted with all the fresh-looking chrome - the expansive front grille, headlight bezels and brightwork are all at their best. It's got just the stance you'd want - slightly inclined, but nothing over the top. Tinted glass windows and windshield are among the new parts and they look flawless.
The black vinyl interior is a great example of a thoughtful restoration, accented by some upgrades to enhance driver comfort. The bench seats in front and back are newly reupholstered, yet retain their original configuration, and with their unwrinkled and unworn appearance and considerable width, beckon you to bring along your friends. The completely restored dash area is particularly impressive - new and original features blended seamlessly across a shiny black background. That fan-shaped cluster with a crystal-clear lense you'll see over the newly-installed Ididit tilt column houses gauges that are completely functional, accompanied by a set of aftermarket counterparts situated to their right. Those nods to driver comfort include a Vintage Air A/C system that's at the top of its game and a Kenwood AM/FM/CD player that powers 4 speakers in that spacious interior. You'll find fresh, black carpet throughout, including inside that generously-proportioned storage area in the back. There's a ton of room in this cruiser!
This wagon has been upgraded with everything you'd want for high-performance yet dependable motoring. A totally rebuilt Chevy 327 V8 sits on a set of brand new mounts in the nice, clean engine compartment, crowned by an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb and an aluminum intake. Bracketed by a set of Hooker headers leading out to a brand new crossover exhaust with Magniflow mufflers, the engine runs with exceeding smoothness. In front, a generously-sized aluminum radiator is accompanied by an electric fan to keep temperatures down in any driving conditions you might encounter and power steering and front power discs will make those conditions easier to navigate. A new 700R4 Turbo-Hydramatic 4-speed automatic transmission (warrantied until July 2019) sits in place of the original Powerglide. Combining a low first gear ratio with overdrive in 4th, the 700R4 offers a virtually unbeatable combination of off the line acceleration and low RPMs while on the highway. A set of 5-spoke, chrome Coy wheels completes the look of this truly eye-catching classic.
