Combining classic looks with well-executed modifications, modern technology and outstanding craftsmanship, this Chevrolet C10 is as fine an example of a 70's era vintage truck as you're likely to find. Fresh off a thorough and exacting restoration, it's more than ready to begin its next chapter for some very fortunate enthusiast.
The first thing you're likely to notice is the striking Flame Red exterior. Get a little closer and you'll appreciate the paint job even more smooth glossiness everywhere you look, without a hint of orange peel in sight. The chrome from front to back is looking great much of it is new including both bumpers and the front grille, which you'll notice is a 1970 piece. The headlight and taillight bezels have the same "showroom" look to them as well and the new crystal-clear glass you'll find on both the front and back windshields really accents the overall quality look of this truck. Up front, the unique custom hood sports a beefier look and a scoop that's been seamlessly installed. In back, you'll find a custom fiberglass bed cover exceptionally well fitted to its surrounding metal. With nice tight seams between panels - and doors and a hood that open and close very smoothly, as well - this C10 was obviously reassembled with a lot of care. It sits with a nearly level, relatively low stance, but with plenty of tire clearance for real world road conditions.
The same high standards were applied to the interior. Inside, there's a pair of virtually brand new black vinyl bucket seats with intricate detailing mirrored by the door panels on each side, and between them is a custom center console that adds functionality while blending in perfectly with its surroundings. Having logged just 35 miles since restoration certainly does have its advantages. Take a look through the custom steering wheel and you'll see that the dash area carries the same Torch Red color to match the exterior and it's accented by a black instrument cluster carrying all new Dakota Digital gauges. A couple of other modern creature comforts have been added, as well, and blend in perfectly with the vintage look of this interior, including an Ididit tilt column and a Vintage Air climate control system that not only blows out through registers centrally located above the iPod-compatible stereo, but also through a pair of custom chrome a/c registers at both ends of the dash area. Below, the fresh expanse of black carpeting is ornamented by a pair of floor mats bearing the signature Chevy bowtie.
Inside an immaculate engine compartment with flat black sides and a Torch Red firewall, you'll see a freshly rebuilt Chevy 350 V8, just as this C10 rolled off the St. Louis assembly line with. This powerplant received a top to bottom rebuild and outfitted with a Holley 4-barrel carb, boasts 300hp of output. It's paired to a 700R4 4 speed automatic transmission that features both a fairly low first gear ratio for improved off the line acceleration and overdrive to keep highway revs reasonably low. The 350 is accented by a pair of custom flat black valve covers and matching air cleaner. Up front, there's a generously-sized Griffin aluminum radiator that's paired with dual electric fans, so stop and go conditions should present no overheating concerns. With power brakes at all four corners (discs in front) and power steering, stopping power and easy navigating are covered, as well. Below, the undercarriage looks exceptional even for a new restoration - and the tubular control arms up front are a nice touch. This exceptionally eye-catching vintage truck sits on a set of 16" American Racing wheels, wrapped in Firestone Destination blackwalls.
