Description

1971 GMC Trim Custom C1500 Stepside ...............Family owned since 1971Purchased new from a GMC dealer in California. Truck has been in California since new.
PLEASE IGNORE THE MILEAGE IN THE EBAY TAB, I POSTED A PICTURE OF THE ODOMETER. I DON'T KNOW THE EXACT MILEAGE BUT I DO KNOW IT IS OVER A 100,000 MILES IT COULD ALSO BE 221,928. MY FATHER WAS THE MOST LIKELY PERSON TO KNOW THIS BUT HE PASSED AWAY.
This truck has never been seriously modified according to my uncle.. still has the factory original Invader 350 cu engine with only the timing chain and gear changed from the nylon version to the steel version. Also was told the carburetor was exchanged for a re-manufactured one at some point. And last the ignition points were changed out with a Crane Cams electronic ignition that is far superior to points.
The original auto transmission was rebuilt at one point according to my uncle and he said he was more than pleased with it. The transmission is in very very good condition. Transmission model Turbo Hydra-matic
I think my uncle told me at one time that factory power steering was added later as my Grandfather preferred it. I don't know for sure..... but it does have power steering whether it be original or factory installed.

The undercarriage of the truck looks very good... the last picture shows a shot of the rear frame area. Also the trucks frame is straight....in the pictures the truck looks twisted but that is only because the ground is very uneven where I took the pictures. As of now the truck is back on a flat driveway for storage.
Rear window was upgraded to tinted slider type for comfort.Truck bed storage lock box was added
Truck starts and runs and drives. I drove this truck 60 miles to a warehouse back in 2014 and it drove very nicely, I will miss this truck dearly.
I don't know the exact mileage but it is over 100,000 miles
This truck is really clean, it does have some rust in the most common areas for this model although it seems minimal compared to other trucks I have seen. I found rust along rocker panels and a small bubble starting to form on the passenger bottom rear side of the cab.
The drivers side window won't roll down and I haven't looked inside the panel to see why. This happened just a few months ago.
I have a few new parts in a box from LMCTRUCK PARTS STORE that I will include:Heater control panel with 3 cables along with new heater valve. The heater control panel on and off switch is stuck so I purchased all these parts that would renew that whole system, also some seals for the gas filler neck.... I will try to post picture of parts although Ebay is only letting me post 24 pictures; I don't see an option button to add more pictures than that.
The passenger side front fender and door have dents and the passenger side rear bumper has a slight bend from bumping into a wall on our property.
As far as I know this is the only real damage with this truck other than the rust and truck bed wooden planks. Please look at the pictures to get an overall feel for the truck. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them.
