1968 Corvette Convertible LeMans Blue big block
Description
Purchased at Cruising the Coast 2 years ago. The previous ownerdid not finish the car but did new paint, carpet,weatherstrip, electronic ignition, clutch,tiresand flow master exhaust.
I finished the car, took it to a number of car shows and drove it on nice days.
Here are the details plus my work:*LeMansBlue 976 base clear, looks great, a few small scratches and a few typical stress cracks.*Black vinyl interior Std (seats look great, door panels are original, dash padreplaced).*Believe originally a big block car; 5600 redline tach,ect. Now a 454 NOMengine, block 14015445, runs great, looks like a 427.*4sp manual transmission, Muncie M21 close ratio.*positraction rear 3.36:1.*manual steering and manual brakes.*all4 wheels are 15"x7"AG code (68 only).*Installed Vintage Air, cools and heats great.*Installed 69+ DeWitts 1-1/4" big block radiator, electric fans not needed, plusnew shroud and new expansion tank.*Installed new PPG windshield, (windshield frame was in great condition& was POR15 coated for future rust prevention).*Rebuilt N36telescopiccolumn and new rag joint.*Rebuilt Q jet carb.*Rebuilt front end (new bushings, ball joints, springs, ect).*Installed new 3pt seat belts.*Installed new calipers, master cylinder and front brake lines.*Installed new Bilstein HD shocks and new fuel pump.*Installed new mini starter and new battery cables & ground.*Cleaned and painted the frame as accessible with body on, frame is very good with minimal rust.*Radio missing amp & speakers, clock not hooked up.*Headlights work & wipers work buthave to open wiper door first with over ride switch.*Mileage unknown, front rotors are still riveted.

I wanted to keep it but wife wants a C7 and I already have 2 C3 projects to finish now, ha!
