Up for auction is an awesome 1953 Chevy 3100 short bed pickup truck… wow what a story on this old truck. This pickup was purchased in 1962 from a local gentleman and only 4 miles from my place. I’ve been eyeballing this old pickup for years.

He purchased the truck in 1962 and he had it painted 4 or 5 years later and that is the paint that is currently on the truck! It is a 1 repaint truck, all original sheet metal, with current paint approximately 50 years old. This Chevy has always been a running, driving, and maintained pickup. He kept this truck parked in his barn when he wasn’t driving it so I guess that is why this paint has held up. I did buff the old oxidation off when I bought it. The bed wood and stainless strips were done several years ago.

There are some modifications and improvements over the years such as: Remanufactured 216ci engine several years ago by Mustang Rebuilders Inc. Garland, Texas (tag still on block) … motor runs excellent like a sewing machine. It also has external oil filter, split manifold, dual exhaust, 12v system conversion, new heater, radial tires, electric wipers, turn signals, AM/FM stereo cassette, chrome bumpers/side mirrors/tail pipe ends. It also has an old school gun rack…

This is really a great old pickup… its very dependable (starts every time), it runs and drives about as good as any that I have had which has been a whole lot and with a great local history.

This is not a show queen 35-40k pickup. I did do a little cleaning and detailing. It is an original and honest driving/running 50-year-old paint truck... It’s the kind I like and if that’s what you’re looking for don’t miss this one. It’s a good one.
