Description

Just a great Corvette. Keep in mind that it is 36 years old and not a frame-off restoration. It has quirks.
Previous owner replaced the computer controlled distributor and carb with ones off of a '79, so no more computer. New seat foam and leather. Interior looks pretty darn good, minus the spot I wore into the driver side door pocket with the tip of my shoe. I have some brown tape on it. Cruise control is not hooked up. Prev. Owner said he put brand new exhaust on it and brakes. I replaced the temp gauge and center printed circuit board so the gauges work. Clock is slow, but it moves. Shift indicator needle missing and it does not light up. Replaced the glove box lock, so there is an extra key. Car runs great. Electric choke not hooked up, but it starts and runs just fine. Glass T-Tops with bags and covers. Car groans a little in the rear at times, might need rear bushing. Comes with a box of misc new front suspension parts. GPS speedo since speedo in dash is not correct. Paint has some flaws but looks great overall. I noticed the lug nuts all did not match, so I bought a set of black ones. I haven't put them on the car yet. Air conditioning and heat both work. They do not blow very hard, though. I bought a C4 blower motor and cage to put on it, but never got around to doing so. A/C system was converted to 134.
The car is a respray, and was originally cream in color. It is a dark green now. The paint looks like it has some prep issues when it was sprayed. Not a $10,000 paint job, and it has a crack in the paint on the hood. Still, looks darn good.
Tires look great and the car has the correct wheels. The rag gear in the steering needs replaced. I have the part, but it is not a 10 minute job, so I haven't done it yet. I did a temporary repair so that play in the steering wheel is eliminated. My temporary repair will probably last a decade, but you might want to put the proper piece in sometime.
Overall, the weather stripping is good. No tears. It doesn't fit great at the rear of the driver's window, though, so you get some noise and breeze.
Came with a basic aftermarket CD player, and I replaced it with a mid-grade Sony CD/MP3 player that also does Pandora and has an Aux input. Sounds great. The car has two speaker boxes in the rear area that take up a little room, but help the sound.
Passenger side door lock doesn't always behave. Sometimes you have to lock it from outside.
I found little drips of oil on my garage floor. Hardly any, really, but wanted to mention it. Speaking of oil, it used about a quart in 5 thousand miles. It might need a PCV valve. Heck, I might pop one in before it sells. They run about $10 bucks.
Windshield wipers work, but something that holds the unit into the dash gave way, and now the control is a little spongy, so it's tough to use the washer, which also works when you can push it.
This is a car that you can do some work on, if you would like to tinker, or simply drive it around as it is without worry. I have taken it out on a 600 mile trip with no complaint.
This is a no-apologies car; you can pull up next to anyone at a traffic light and feel good about yourself.
Any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. I can take more pics on request.
I will not ship it. I'll let someone else load it, or I'll even come pick you up at the airport/busstop/or your house if you're close enough, and you can drive it back.
I shouldn't have to say this, but; no money order scams, please. All checks, if not cash, will delay things significantly while it clears the bank.
I have been overly honest in my description, so please be an honest buyer so both of us have a great transaction.
