Matching Number 1969 L78 Nova SS.This isone of the nicest bodies you will ever seeon a 69 novawith all original sheet metal and one of the highest optioned L78 you will ever see. This low mile(64k) 396-375 L78 has had everything done that can be done. Starting with a body off rotisserie restoration. This is a no expense spared restoration with every detail just like it was back in 69 onthe showroom floor. It was painted in its original lemans blue paint and is extremely nice.It is slick as glass and definately a 9. One great thing about the car isit spentall of its life in California. It is a no-rust all original sheet metal, rockers, floors, trunk, ect. The inside has been finished in its original form of bright blue bucket seat with custom and deluxe interior trim.Ittestifies to its 64,000 original mile life. This is a very rare andextremely high optioned car. It was not built like most Ive seen come up for sale. Most were basic stripped down no options and either bench seatautomatic plain wheels no tach no steering ect. This car seems to be very unique. There wereonly 5200 375 HP L78's produced in 1969.Ithas the one year only 4 speed crossmember, 12 bolt posi, 3:55 standard on 375's, the heater box outlets,(by the way, best i can tell this car still has the old original heater core still in place) the big block radiator support (375 had special one just for it) single 3/8 fuel line with no return line and the factory original 6000 rpm redline tach. (that are not, and probably never will be re-produced, these are impossible to find used). Im sure theres more but you get the idea.....Below is a list of the drivetrain components, trim tag build date is first week in march (3A).

All body lines are clean and straight all panel gaps are equal and precise all chrome is either original or has been replaced. Some unique things are still there like the neutral safety switch (the one attatched to the clutch pedal requiring it to be pushed before it will start). The reverse lock out (the devise that locks the steering wheel when the car is put in reverse). The factory applied vinyl top hasjust a slight blemish or two but no rust at all under it.This car was not a rusty rebuild like some are its lived a very preserved life. All doors, hood, trunk open and close like they should. Attention has been given to every bit of correctness likeNO aftermarket gauges or column mounted tach, headers, wrong wheels painted wrong color ect.....Look at the pictures the time and attention to detail is hard to explain. All clips for fuel lines and brake lines are color coded correct bolts have the correct black phosphate. The underneath of the car and all suspension components look as nice and detailed as what you see under the hood. This isthe nicest restored1969 L78 Nova that I've seen come up for sale in a long time. Absolutely NO disappointments. Please call me with any questions. Thanks,John.908-489-4200.
