Description

1949 Chevy 3100...I have built this truck from the ground up over the past few months. It is sitting on a 1989 Chevy S10 Ex Cab frame which I shortened to get the correct wheel base, completely cleaned and painted the frame and installed 2" Drop Springs in the front and 3" Blocks in the rear. Also put 2" Spacers on the front to fill out the front fenders, out back I installed a 4x4 Blazer rear axle with 3.73 gears ( which is a little to low for me, it runs about 2,800 rpm at 55 mph). It has a stock 350 motor with factory aluminum intake and Quadrajet carb, nothing fancy but it is detailed up. TH350 Transmission with Tall Lokar Shifter. Speedway Aluminum Radiator with Spal electric fan, never runs hot. New Ridler 18x8 and 18x10 Wheels with new tires. New exhaust that dumps at the rear end..Sounds great! Bed floor is actually a sheet of 3/4" Treated plywood...I routed out the grooves for the bed strips to lay in which turned out great, and yes its a dog bowl with the fuel filler neck in it. The wheel tubs are 67-72 Chevy truck tubs that I cut down and welded in. As far as the body it is really solid does have some filler in the doors and rear fender from dents not rust. Onto the interior I completely cleaned everything and painted it the tan color, installed new carpet and redid the seat and door panels in brown vinyl. New Dolphin gauges which all work, and new door glass, window cranks and inside and out door handles. 1967 C10 Steering column and wheel. I am sure I am leaving out a lot....Any questions or want more pictures please call or text 615-633-8279 Thanks!! The only thing I know wrong with the truck or that I would do differentor change is.... Change the rear axle to a 3.08, install a headliner, and it does have a very small transmission leak I believe to be coming from the speedo, and has a slight vibration at around 45 to 50mph I think changing the rearend would help that also or could be driveshaft needing balanced.
