Description

Up for auction is a 1/2 ton, big back window, long bed, fleet-side Chevy Apache. I have been the owner of this truck for the past 42 years. Originally it was from Washington state but has been in Southern California since I purchased in 1975. It has never been completely torn down, but has never needed it.

It has the original 235 inline 6 cylinder engine with a 4 speed GM tranny from an early 70’s Firebird. It has a chrome front bumper, head light bezels, and grill with an all steel step rear bumper.

The engine and carburetor were rebuilt last year. The radiator and gas tank were flushed and pressure tested last year as well. The seat is in good condition, I just have a seat cover over it but it matches the back of the seat.

The tires were purchased about 1 year ago but probably don’t have over 100 miles on them. There is a Pioneer radio with CD player, but it’s a cheap piece of shit. However it does work. It has a limited slip rear end. It still has a generator and voltage regulator and the original starter pedal on the floor. The brakes were inspected recently and they are in good condition. The wood bed is probably twenty years old, but has a rubber bed mat over it and has been garaged since I installed the wood. The wood itself is Apitong, which is considered by many to be the undisputed best choice for truck and trailer flooring. Not pretty like oak, but it is tough as nails and used in commercial truck beds, trailers, and outdoor decks. There are 3 stock rims, three stock hubcaps, a spare tire rack, that mounts under the truck, and the original column shifter and linkage that were for the three on the tree transmission, which will be included in the deal.

This is not a show truck. It has scratches, scrapes. It is just a daily driver, but in very nice condition. No rust issues, or major damage.

On the down side, as I said, the paint is old and has a few scrapes and chips. The outside mirrors are loose and should be replaced. The doors will close tightly, if you close them with just a very slight lift as you close them. The odometer does not work so I don't know there actual milage. Neither does the original temp gauge, but there is an after market gauge installed under the dash, that does work. The mechanical fuel pump has been bypassed with an electric fuel pump. There are two chips/BB holes (from about 30 years ago) in the front windshield, but they are not "cracks", starred or spreading. Personalized License Plates not included.

I plan to advertise outside of Ebay and reserve the right to cancel this eBay listing at any time. If you would like to make arrangements for an inspection of the vehicle, I will be happy to schedule a personal appointment with either yourself or your representative. The truck doesn'tleave my driveway until funds clear, as I would expect you to understand. No returns, sold as-is and no warrant expressed or implied.

.Lastly, all shipping arrangements must be made by buyer.

Deposit of $1,000.00 (non re-fundable, via paypal must be make within 24 hours of the end of the auction.

The remaining balance will be bank transfer (wire) or certified check within 7 calendar days, NO exceptions! Winning this auction does not entitle you to come inspect the car and decide if you want to buy it or not, but it does obligate you to complete the purchase!

I have 100% feedback, so please bid in confidence. Thanks for looking and good luck!
