1963 Corvette Convertible, Sebring Silver w/Red interior, 327/340hp, 4-spd. transmission. Frame off restoredThe introduction of the all-new ’63 Corvette set the automotive world on its ear! The sleek styling of the groundbreaking Split Window Coupe (the first Coupe in the Corvette line-up) made it an instant classic. And its timeless design is still just as beautiful over a half-century later. But while everyone was busy being enthralled by the SWC, there was also another model tha...t was available . . . The Convertible! The ’63 rag tops tend to get lost in the shuffle a bit, but they are no less beautiful. The sleek body was almost bullet-like. Especially on the Convertible. And if top-down cruising was on your agenda back in ’63, you’d be hard-pressed to find one better than a Corvette! Not only was the exterior and interior design all-new; the biggest news was underneath! For the first time, 4-wheel independent suspension was offered making the ’63 Corvette truly a World Class sports car! This gorgeous ’63 has benefited from a complete nut and bolt restoration in December of ’15 with only 380 miles on the odometer since the work was done, with excellent attention to detail. Correct, matching #’s L76 327 engine matched up to T10 4-spd transmission. This early production build was the 338th Corvette off the assembly line with a September 21, 1962, production date. It’s got the early design characteristics that were changed on later production ’63’s. The car was delivered factory fresh to The New Albany Motor Company in New Albany, Indiana for the 1963 production year. After five decades of performance, the Corvette underwent a down-to-the-last-fastener restoration. The body was refinished to the original luster in Sebring Silver paint. The striking Red interior has completely new upholstery and carpet but retains nearly all of its original components. Other features of the Corvette include early production long-base side-view mirrors, AM Wonderbar Radio, and original style bias-ply reproduction white wall tires. An N.C.R.S. Shipping Data Report and the original owner’s manual accompany the car. This color combination is absolutely stunning and rare. Sebring Silver was an extra cost option back in ’63 and complements the lines of the car perfectly! You’d have to search far and wide to find a Corvette prettier than this one! This is the ’63 Corvette Convertible to own, show, drive, and enjoy!
