1959 Chevrolet Apache Restomod Patina
Description
This uniquely beautiful truck was completed and restored in Tampa, FL . The truck has been fully restored underneath, inside the cab, under the hood, and inside the bed. The original patina paint has been clear coated with PPG satin clear coat to prevent rust and maintain a vintage farm-truck feel on the exterior of the vehicle. The bed was set up to run a custom 2x4 bed cover but the wood has since rotted out. It is still set up to run this setup with hinges still attached as well as strut mounts attached to side of beds. Normal areas have rust such as cab corners and steps (pictures included), the truck also has minor imperfections such as some gouges and minor dents, but it flows very well with the look. The front bumper (rust colored - not pictured) is included, however the supports will need to be welded to chassis underneath.
The truck's original chassis was replaced completely with a 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS frame consisting of disc brakes, independent front and rear suspension, custom trailing arms.
Underneath the hood is a new GM crate 350 and rebuilt 700r transmission with around 600 miles on them. The truck has a new Edelbrock 650cfm four barrel carburetor, as well as new custom dual exhaust routed to keep them nice and clear from the ground while providing beautiful sound. All drivetrain areas are solid, leak free, and work as they should. The truck has power steering, newer ball joints, tie rods, and bushings as well. The chassis has been repainted chassis black and is very presentable and clean underneath.
The interior, under hood/engine compartment, and inner bed have been repainted in the trucks original GM Tartan Turquoise with PPG basecoat/clear coat which looks incredible. The interior has been refreshed with new Dakota Digital gauges (oil, water, tach, speedo all working PERFECTLY), a reupholstered GM bench seat, newly upholstered door panels, newer carpet and padding, kick panels, headliner, inner door handles, window rubbers, glass, and window tracks/regulators. The interior is very clean and shows very well!
Since I have owned it, it has been garage kept. The truck has 18 inch Torq Thrust (chrome is flaking) wheels with newer tires with the same mileage as the motor and trans.
This is a one of a kind truck that turns heads everywhere I go and has more character than most trucks or cars at local shows and cruise-ins. This truck is sure to impress! The truck can be daily driven without a doubt and starts up everytime and runs perfectly with no effort.
