This is a 1990 Chevrolet SS 454 short bed truck.
This truck is sold to high bidder, so you must bid to win. I do not end auctions early for any reason.
Please read complete ad and description. I will give you a very detailed, honest and complete description of this truck.
Item description
You are looking at a 1990 SS 454 pick up with short bed, it is the real thing not a clone. The truck has the 454 fuel injected motor and the 3 speed automatic transmission. It also has the factory chrome wheels and painted bumpers. The interior is all original; dash and gauges, the factory stereo, and factory bucket seats with center console. Truck does have a hard fiberglass cover and locking latch with key.
Interior Condition
The truck as mentioned, has the complete stock factory interior. The seats are in very nice condition with no tears or real stains found. They do work as they should. The dash and gauges and radio are all stock and appear to be in very good condition. The glove box lid does open and close fine but has broken pivot pin. The headliner is missing the fabric. The doors panels are nice condition, may show some wear and stains. The carpet has a few wear marks and stains but still looks good. Overall this truck is in very decent condition.
Exterior Condition
This Chevy features the original factory black gloss paint and factory SS and 454 decal kit. All glass is in good condition. The paint does have some scratches, dings and clear coat pealing on it several places. The right front fender on top has clear coat gone. The roof and bed cover appears to have had paint touch up. Remember this is a 27 year truck and paint job. The floor of the bed has scratches and paint wore off of it. This truck is almost rust free. The doors of the truck are very solid without any holes, or problems on the bottom lips or seams. The rockers of this truck are very good with the exception of a few small rust spots starting on the under side were the factory spot weld was made. (Which is shown in pictures) Passenger cab corner has no seen issues or rust. The drivers side cab corner does have a patch over some rust, but not real bad...easy repair. (Also will be in pictures) Bumpers are in nice condition; some scratches, and paint missing. The chrome wheels are factory stock and in excellent condition. The tires look like new but may have a few dry spots on them from sitting. The under side of this truck is rust free. The floor boards, inner rockers, all cab mounts, bed floor are in excellent condition. The frame of this truck is also excellent, not scaly or rusty. Pictures will show you all of this. Sorry the danger high voltage plate is not included with truck.
Mechanical condition
The motor has been taken apart from the previous owner because he had a miss in the motor. He said it needed head gaskets. He started the project by taking it apart and got it torn down to this point at which he lost interest. So it looks like all the motor parts are in the bed of truck. You will need a gasket set. You will also have to clean up driver side cylinder walls because there is some surface rust on them from being apart for over a year.
You could be missing a bolt or something minor I can not tell you for sure. I am simply telling how I bought it and got the information.I was going to take the motor out and rebuild it completely, but I have other projects that need finishing. My loss will be your gain. Wish I had the time.This really is a minor project and would be great for a father and son or even daughter to spend together. If you just want a cool driver I am sure you could probably just put motor back together with new gasket set and drive it for a long time. This would really be a great head turner... with a little buff job and a nice coat of wax it would really shine. All pictures have been taken within the past 3 to 4 days.
These are really super cool and fast trucks. Remember these were only a 4 year production.
