1974 Chevrolet Camaro 400 3 Speed Great Running Driving Project Car
Description
1974 Chevrolet Camaro 400 (cast # 39515511) 3 Speed. We bought this car not knowing any of the history behind it. We acquiredthe car from a guy who worked at a tow yard and bought it from his work. He didn't know what to do with it so he called us.We have lien sale paperwork from the tow yard. The Camaro was missing a carburetor, motor accessories, and the transmission was not hooked up. The motor looked fresh though and looked like it had just been put in before it was parked forever. The car had no interior. We decoded the motor and found out it was 400 4 bolt main. We thought that was interesting and decided to try to get it running. We put a Edlebrock 4 bbl carburetor, HEI distributor, accessories we had laying around, and exhaust. We fired up the motor, just like we thought the motor ran great. Turns out the motors a beast. So we decided to hook up the transmission and the transmission worked great. We got the headlights and tail lights to work and put in what interior we had and a new carpet. That's where we stopped. We don't have time to go any further on the car or have room for it, otherwise we would just because it's such a neat little car. The car is not rusty at all except a couple pin holes in the trunk floor. The left quarter panel has some old body work where it looks like it was bumped in to, not bad. Check out the video on YouTubeof the car. Go to our facebook page (GM Sports Salvage) for the link or our webiste (gmsports.com). This is a great running driving project car.
