1971 Chevelle SS 454

Description

Real SS LS5 454 car not a clone. Code 53 Placer gold exterior interior code 722 dark saddle. Very clean never rusted car. Has been in storage since 1977. Runs and drives. Engine is a 71 ls5 454 freshly rebuilt but not the born with motor to this car. Has its original born with turbo 400 trans and 12 bolt rear end. Trans has factory stamped vin number on drivers side and id tag on passenger side reads 71-CF. CF is for 71 ls5 454 application only. Rear end has boxed control arms with sway bar. Original ss dash with round gauges and bucket seats. TH400 trans kick down switch on gas pedal.

The motor is freshly rebuilt . Bored .030 over Sealed Power Hypereutectic slightly domed pistons. .010 .010 GM Forged steel crank. New cam, rods and main bearings. new freeze plugs and timing chain and gear. Stock replacement cam and lifters. fresh valve job on heads. i have ac brackets and compressor to go with car.

The body is very clean never rusted. Never been in a accident. Original doors and deck lid with original paint. quarter panels and fenders are NOS Gm purchased in the early 80's. They have a few dings and scratches. There is a dent in drivers door that should bump out easy. All the under sheet metal floor pans, trunk pan, trunk to quarter extensions, outer wheel houses are original and rust free. It originally had a vinyl top thats why the second owner replaced quarter panels. Fenders are GM SS fenders with factory stamped holes for ss 454 emblems. The hood is a reproduction SS hood. This car originally came with a SS non flapper hood. I have windshield back window trim to go with car.

The interior the SS dash in in very good condition. Door panels and quarter trims and carpet will need to be replaced. Seats need to be reupholstered.

Suspension will need to be gone through. Ball joints, bushings, tie rods and shocks.

This is a very nice solid project car that needs to be restored.

Comes with a clear title that is in my name.
