Description

note: car is in Huntington Beach California
The two door station wagon Handyman 150 originally had a 6 cylinder and base trim, it is now fairly rare and a bit more unusual than the Bel Airs and 210s.
I bought this in July for a road trip across USA and after 8500 miles on the road from LA to Virginia then Chicago back to LA via Rt66, am a little sad to see her go.

Brakes have new shoes, new front drums, new front hoses wheel cylinders and m/c, new taper-roller front hubs. Diff has new axle bearings and a recon'd 3.08 ratio head from a 64 Impala. Gearbox is a T10 4 sp with new rear seal and new driveshaft joints.
Engine is a heavy duty 4 bolt/4bbl from a 1986 G30 van with single piece rear main. It has done 55k miles from new and has new front and rear seals plus new flywheel, clutch, alternator, water pump and fuel pump.
Fuel consumption is 15-18MPG and it cruises quietly up to about 85mph. Fastest I went was 108 and it felt good. It starts runs and drives well enough to be a daily driver
Wheels and tires are new in July Coker whitewalls and smoothie powder coated rims.
Bodywise it is in fairly good condition for its age with a not-show-quality respray in red about five years ago. It looks nice and gets a lot of attention.
Rust-wise it is pretty good, only one hole inside where the tail gate closes (not visible from outside). The floor pans have been replaced with new metal.
There is very little interior other than carpet. The seats are not original to the car and there is no back seat as it was originally a delivery vehicle (rear windows are fixed).
