1971 Chevy Blazer CST
Description
Honest, fully-optioned 1st Gen Blazer. Two owners in Fredricksburg, Texas, bought 20 years ago for my cabin in Eastern Washington where I use it to launch my ski boat and take the occasional run into town or the golf course for 4 months of the year. Pretty much a dry life.
Some rust in the door rockers, the driver's side A-pillar and floor at the door rockers and front kick plates, but not much for these trucks - this is far better than most. Everything else is solid and straight - door bottoms, torque boxes, rocker panels, tailgate, quarters and fenders. The top is about average with no back lift door. One Maaco paint job as far as I can tell.
A/C doesn't work but all the components are there. All the gauges, lights and wipers work. Gas gauge isn't accurate. Uncut dash in the radio hole. Full instrumentation with factory tach, upgraded to 3/4 ton brakes for hauling the boat. 350 Target Master motor (in the truck when I bought it) could use valve seals and guides, but never fails to start, even after sitting 6 months in sub-freezing weather. Drives out very well, all of the 4-wheel drive components fully operational. Auto transmission works well, although the tailshaft seal weeps a little.
