1978 Chevy K20 Pickup Long Bed 350 Auto 4x4 Black Farm Truck Square Body PLOW
Description
Up for auction I have a 1978 Chevy k20 pickup. I purchased this truck from the second owner who bought it in 1980. This truck spent it's entire life on a farm and was always kept inside. Body and paint were redone about 10 years ago. Original color was light blue. From 20ft away it looks great, however it does have it's share of dents and scratches. No rust other than a few spots of surface rust from scratches, which were touched up to preserve the truck. The truck does have alot of touch up work to the paint. Fenders, doors, and the bed were replaced when the truck was redone. The paint appears that it will really shine from the areas I test polished, I just haven't had the time to buff it. The truck is powered by a 350 with an auto trans. Full time 4wd. The carburetor is very temperamental and should be cleaned or replaced, the float will stick sometimes. Engine does leak oil, should have valve covers and the rear main seal replaced at some point however you can drive it as it. Shifts fine. When the carb isn't acting up the truck runs and drives like a dream. New muffler. Will need rear tires. The truck was licensed under farm use (hence the yellow stickers on the bumper) since 2008, so it is not inspected. The seat will need attention as you can see, or just throw a cover over it. Mileage is 165k. The brakes do stick sometimes if it has been sitting. Bed floor shows signs of a used work truck however most of what you see is mud on it. The truck is equipped with a Western plow setup, I never used it however the previous owner used the truck to plow a 1/4 mile farm lane since 1980. No blade included. I believe the plow needs a solenoid to operate. Truck has dual tanks however only the passenger's tank is hooked up, since the driver's tank is bypassed the fuel gauge does not work. Overall the truck should be gone over before driving it alot, however it would be a great little winter project to make it perfect or just drive it as it is. I don't really want to get rid of it however I have a few too many horses in my stable at the moment so it's time to thin the herd. Clean PA title in hand ready to transfer.
