1974 Corvette Project
Description
1974 Corvette T top 350 Automatic project car. Rust free frame, rust free windshield frame. The car was sitting for around 4 years. The guy we got it from bought the car complete running and driving. He pulled it in the garage and started taking it apart. This is as far as he made it. There isno interior with the car. What you see is what you get I do not have any other parts with this car.
The body is in good shape with the correct front and rear bumpers for a 74. There are a couple places in the fiberglass that need work. It once had a luggage rack and you can see where the holes are. Looks like they just used bondo to plug the holes. There are 2 places on the front fenders where a repair was done.I tried to get pictures of both sides. There are some paint chips here and there but really the body is really straight.
The frame is solid. No rust up front by the body mounts and no rust by the back corners in front of the back wheels. Again good solid frame.
Interior, there is none. He had sold most of it before I got the car bought. I showed pictures of the drivers side floor where he had cut out 3 places. I asked him why he did that and he said he was looking for rust. There is a small amount of rust on the drivers side where he cut out the fiberglass you can see it in the pictures. That is all the rust I could find on the car. The seam for the firewall where it meets the tunnel has come apart so there will be fiberglass work on the floor and firewall.
The engine is not the original 3970010.I checked and there are no numbers stamped on the block. It is a 350. The wiring harness under the hood is still there so I put a battery in it and wired up the ignition put some fresh fuel in the tank and it fired right up.Engine runs good. Was told by him the transmission shifts just fine. I don't know if its the starter or flywheel but the starter was grinding a few times when I was trying to get it started.
