1937 Chevy Gasser Hot Rod Drag Race Car

Description

This is a very cool old gasser from California. It is a fresh build with less that 500 miles on the car and driveline. Body is steel and wasprofessionallychopped a few inches. The front end is vintage fiberglass and so wellbalanced that it only takes one hand to open and close it. The rear fenders are vintage glass also. The flames are painted on and the " Fireball " graphic is vinyl so it would be easy to remove it. All the glass is real glass and the door glass rolls up and down easily. The interior window trim was all professionally cut down to match the lower window openings. That was the hard part. Therest needed tofinish off the interior is the easy andfun stuff. The suspension has been updated to more modern and safer items such as a Chris Alston ladder bar back half and a Speedway front axle kit. Discbrakes on front anddrums with a working "E" brake on the back.Heavy duty Ford 9" with the "N" case. 4:56 posi gears. I recently installed a new master cylinder and line lock for the front brakes. It still needs the proportioningvalve adjusted. Those are REALvintage 15 x 10 ET mag wheels with reproduction Radir 1200-15" pie crust drag crust drag slicks on the rear and real ET 15x5 fronts with reproduction 670-15 radials on the front thatlook like vintage pie tires by Coker. I have around $3,000. inthose tires and wheels. I will take $2,000. off of the final sale price to replace those wheels and tires with the newer tires and wheels pictured at the end of the photos. 15x14s and 15x4s. with MT 33x13.50 Sportsmans. The engine is a 427 cu in Big block ( A De-stroked 454 ) It is fresh and around 425-450 HP. The trans is a fresh 400 turbo. Custom built headers with side pipes. The side pipes haveglass pack inserts to cut down on noise for the street. They can easily be removed for open exhaust. Brand new 850 Holley carb. Vintage "Moon" valve covers. Gassers are very hot right now, and 37 Chevys are one of the coolest gasser body styles around with plenty of room for us bigger guys and much less than half the price of a steelWillys.
