Description

For your consideration is a 1964 Corvette 327/250hp convertible that has been stored since 1976. This has the hard top and the soft top is in it as well. The last registrations are still on the windshield. It is a 2 owner car, 2nd owner bought it in 1974 with 10,xxx miles. It now has 21,xxx miles. The engine is original except for the carb, and the radiator was changed in 72 with a Harrison unit. Recently it has had all new wheels cylinders, new rubber brake hoses, some new lines, the carb was rebuilt and a new fuel pump and spark plugs. The LH rear half shaft u-joints were also replaced. The car runs and drives but does need work as it has been sitting. What was done recently was just to get it up and running. The frame is good. The body is in good shape but the RH front has been repaired, there are cracks on the top surround and the rear lower valance was broken when it was pulled out of the barn. Also the heater core needs to be replaced. We only got 2 hubcaps and the Air cleaner and ignition shielding are missing. The car was repainted at some point during it's life as it was originally Daytona Blue. The Blue interior is mostly intact, although the carpet has been replaced and 1 rip in the passenger seat was taped. All gauges are correct and the original AM-FM radio is intact and turns on. The car runs good and shifts fine, but again it was not driven much and has only been taken up the road a little to make sure it ran/drove/stopped. It had good oil pressure and the temp gauge worked as well. The spare tire tub is intact, but there is no spare in it. The rear bumpers are rotted and need to be replaced. Overall this is a very solid and original car.
This car has a transferable NY registration. NY was not a title state until 1973.

Here are some answers to questions we have been getting:-The hardtop is covered in White vinyl, not white paint-This is a 327/250 HP 4 speed car - correct RC code with born with original engine.-It has been hit and fixed on the RH front corner.-The original color was Daytona Blue - It was repainted to a lighter shade but the paint is faded and dull.-NY did not have titles until 1973. EVERY car made before 1973 has a transferrable registration. You cannot get a NY title for a 1972 and older vehicle, they do not need them. The registration is your transferring document.-The frame is in good shape. we saw no rot or repairs in the dog legs.-I will check the birdcage this coming week prior to auction end, but I'm sure that is fine too, and the car was stored inside.-The steering wheel is not cracked, gauges have good color
