1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427/400hp Big Block Coupe - Restored
With 4-Speed, Tri Power, Side Pipes & Air Conditioning
California Car from New – Same Owner Last 17 Years
This 1967 Big Block Stingray Coupe went through a complete frame-off restoration in 1999.
As part of a private Southern California Muscle Car Collection, it has been continually stored inside and driven less than 50 miles per year since the restoration.
This heavily optioned Corvette is equipped as follows-
- 427 / 400hp Big Block Engine
- 4-Speed Close Ratio M21 Transmission with 3:36 Posi-traction
- Factory Side Mount Exhaust System
- Factory Telescopic Steering Column
- AM/FM Radio (not functioning)
- 1967 Black California License Plates “VET 427”
The paint, body, chrome, interior, glass and rubber are all still in excellent condition plus the car runs and drives great. (All pictures were just taken for this listing.)
The car was restored with the correct Marina Blue paint with Bright Blue interior.
The Period Correct 1967 Big Block 427 Engine has the following Specs as rebuilt-
- 427/435 4-Bolt Main L-71 Block (#3916321 casting with L 18 7: 12/18/67 date) L88 Forged Steel Crankshaft (7115 Casting), with ARP Main Bearing Studs, Oval Port Heads (#3872702), Hardened Exhaust Seats.
- Edelbrock Performer Plus Camshaft, Lifters and Retainers with Cloyes Street “True Roller” Timing Chain and Gears.
- TRW 10.25 Forged Pistons (L2300F) with Federal Mogul “Sealed Power” Rings
- “Dimple Dot” Forged Steel LS5/LS6 Rods with 7/16” ARP Rod Bolts, Clevite 77 Rod and Main Bearings
- Aluminum 400/hp 1967 Tri Power Intake manifold (#4382 Casting)
- Pertronix Distributor Conversion with “Flame Thrower” Coil
In addition to the engine, the transmission was rebuilt plus the following items were all gone through during the restoration-
- The air conditioning system was completely rebuilt with new gaskets, seals, evaporator, POA valve, fan motor, heater core. The power brake booster, steering box, wiper motor and headlight motors were also rebuilt.
- All front and rear chassis components were rebuilt or replaced including rear trailing arms, brake calipers, rear spring, strut rods, heavy duty rear axle cover, emergency brake components, axle shafts, universal joints, front control arm (joints and bushings), front and rear stabilizer bars with bushings, tie rod ends, brake hoses, idler arm, power steering control valve and rear end.
- Complete instrument cluster, clock and glove box door were reconditioned. New underdash/firewall insulation and sound deadner were installed. Additionally, new brake/fuel lines and gas tank were installed.
The gauges and interior lights work plus the car was just fully serviced and is all ready to go!
