Car History is as follows: A soild western car here in Grand Junction for many years with one family. The car has been in dry storage for many years, since the High School days of the 70-80's as seen with the period correct interior, which is in super great shape and is the retro look of the 60's-70's, Diamond Tuck 'N Roll ! The engine in the mid 80's the owner blue-printed and balancedthe current 350 V8 engine - it runs strong and smooth to show the great job he did in the rebuild (fast). There is no docs or paper work, only a father & sons words, which are very truthful from all that we have been told. The father has now passed away and this is the reason for sale. (He also has a factory super solid 1955 OriginalSport Coupe for sale in a few days!) This '55 was the sons car and the Coupe was the Fathers original car. The mom drove a 1964 Chevrolet Impala that has been sold. Cars were always serviced and inside for the last 30-40 years. Some paper work on old plates and registrations and the titles are back from early 1980's.
This car is a color change car, now into the nice Two-Tone Blue, changed from a original Factory Coral Pink and White. The Main seats and side panels are correct to the car.The main body panelsare all original to the car and it is as stated, solid with no rust outs found anywhere known! There is some light bondo from normal bodywork around the car, but nothing to note. Worst spots on the car are: the paint is older some cracking on rear lower curves just under the rear tail lights, one spot on passenger side above the belair emblem- a spot was touched up with brush, this could easily be spottedin. All Glass is all good with the front windshield as original with a 6" crack in the center half way up, been there for years (original front windshield) All windows operate up and down and doors trunk close and open tight. Window Fuzzies are good no rattles while driving. The car shifts tight and clutch is good. This car can take off like a rocket- if needed. :) The trunk is carpeted and the trunk floors are all 100% solid with no rustouts anywhere, including the entire underside, floors, braces, that we could find. (see pictures!) AM original Radio is there, no speaker, clock is there, does not work, heater works vents work, defrost works, add-on gauges do not work, need hooked up, odometer and speedo do not work, needs new cable, gas gauge works good, blinkers work ok, brake light works ok, high beams work ok and dash indicator, dash lights and light switch dimmer knob work, heater fan works on all settings, emergency brake and warning light work very well, Main braking is drum brakes, could use a slight adjust. Door locks need oiled to work, trunk lock works good, ignition switch works good tight, glove box need inner cardboard box, dome light is under the headliner if you want that back, it is there- hidden now under headliner. Main front and rear seats are strong and comfortable nice cusions.
Chrome is nice driver quality and the stainless trim is also. Everything is there and can be show quality if desired in further restoration.
Overall the car is a fantastic daily driver ready to go and have fun with right now. The car speaks for itself and is "as stated" here. All small items noted are easy fixes and are the new owners responsibility to fix, or restore, and or have repaired. Everything stated is everything we know of and are up front and honest in this overall condition. If something was overlooked, the vehicle is being sold in "as-is" condition. The Paint rates at a 6.0 - 6.7 out of 10, due to age and old application. Body panelsare straightoverall and rate 8.5 - 9.0 for good lines.
