Description

1989 Camaro RS Convertible with rebuilt 350 TBI motor (Chevrolet Performance 350 C.I.D. Base Engine Assemblies 12681429) installed by the former owner.Motor has mild cam, and Edelbrock 3704 TBI Performer intake and AC Delco high volume fuel pump, sender and pickup. Hedman headers with new mandrel bent 3” exhaust and Magnaflow muffler with dual original-style rectangular exhaust tips. Dealer-installed option Hurst Shifter with special factory 2-tone interior and matching silver racing stripe on the body. Other items unique to this car such as IROC steering box, aluminum drive-shaft and rear aluminum brake drums. Hayes clutch, Dana U-joints, Richmond 3.73 rear gears with a Detroit True Trac LSD. This is a rareRS that came with IROC-Z springs and sway bars. It has brand new new poly sway-bar bushings and new KYB AGX adjustable shocks and struts and new Dunlop summer tires. New brakes last year with less than 1000 miles on them. New 3-core Champion aluminum radiator with new dual Corvette electric fans. Spohn subframe connectors, strut tower brace, and heavy duty transmission crosmember with the torque-arm isolator. (the flexy-flyer syndrome that all 3rdgens Camaros have is gone!) New door hinge pins. While this car is certainly quick, it’s not brutally fast. But, it’s the handling which is is truly remarkable - especially once the tires warm up. My neck hurts after a nice day of driving around and down winding roads! Although the car is spotless and dead stone reliable, it spends all it’s time in the garage and has taken a nick from stuff falling off of shelves, my motorcycle, etc. Close to $15,000 invested between myself and the former owner. I have the original 305 motor for restorative purposes. Convertible top is in good condition. I have the original HO Dual Snorkel air cleaner with scoops and ducting. Health issues and space constraints forces the sale of the car.
