1985 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
Description
This car is a fine example of a garage kept survivor. This car is not a time capsule car or a museum car. It is a garage kept driver that has never been restored but has been repainted years ago.I bought this car 6 years ago from who I believe to be the 2nd or 3rd owner if I remember right. He had done substantial work to freshen the car up. Engine was pulled to be resealed. Gasket set was installed down to the short block. Mild comp. cam. Timing chain and roller tip rockers were installed. Engine was carefully reinstalled in car as close to original as possible. A new clutch kit was also installed. Lower shroud is missing. Car has no A/C.The interior is all original and shows well for its age. Headliner is buttoned up but neatly. Drivers seat is showing wear. T Top seals and door seals were installed. Some minimal rust is apparent due to cars age. I will show pictures of these spots. There has been a small hole in front of drivers side rocker panel under the molding. I have cleaned out and undercoated. Small bubble under decal at lower front of right door (see pictures). Studs coming through hatch that mount rear spoiler have rust flaking where they come through and I have kept painted to preserve. Some other minor rust under car.The underside of the car had flowmaster cat back and koni adjustable shocks and struts. Also I have just 20 miles ago put new Mickey Thompson sportsman radials all around. I then fell in love with a fifth generation I just bought which is the only reason for selling this 1985.I am a mechanic with 30+ years of experience and believe this car operates as original not even having the check engine light on.Please bid accordingly and remember this car is 33 years old. I have described it to the best of my ability and think I have not hidden anything.
