Time to let go of some of my babies. Here is my beautiful 1971 GMC short wide bed pickup. It's an original West Coast truck with no rust and a great, straight body. It has a rebuilt 454 BBC (even though the valve covers say 427), 400 turbo transmission, and 12 bolt posi rear end. It's bagged on all four corners with an on-board compressor. The rear bags work great and are very responsive; the front, like many bagged vehicles, takes a bit more to come up. It has disc brakes on front, 20" Centerline wheels with245/35ZR20 and 255/35ZR20 Champion tires, and dual exhaust with X-pipe. The truck runs, drives, and stops well, but it could use a tune-up, as it changed climates and never had one. Actual mileage unknown.
Here are some of the minor issues I know it has: 1) the automatic relay for the electric fan stopped working, so now you have to turn it on manually. I do have the replacement part and will include it with the truck. 2) the front right brake squeaks. May just be dirty, but I haven't the time to deal with it. I haven't noticed any loss of performance stopping-wise from it. 3) I can't find the key for the door locks.
This truck gets all kinds of looks and compliments. It's time for someone else to enjoy this beauty as much or more than I have, and I'm offering it atNO RESERVE!!That's right, highest bid takes it, so serious bidders only!! Please reach out to me if you have any questions. Send me a message and include your phone number and good times to call if you would like to speak over the phone.
