Up for sale is my 57 Bel Air project car. I have accumulated over $5000 dollars worth of parts to go with the sale of the car. It currently is registered, insured, and available for inspection or a test drive by appointment. All the lights work. Horn, heater, handbrake, clock need attention. Car was purchased from e-bay seller in Alabama 2 years ago where it spent it's entire life. Body and frame are very solid with only surface rust in most places you see it. I have rebuilt the 2 bbl carb, replaced battery, fuel pump and starter. Also put on 2 new mufflers.
There are additional parts included in the sale that are not pictured, (24 pics max). The most expensive ones are shown in the pics. The bumpers are rechromed, not aftermarket. The stainless fin pieces are engraved on the bottom so most likely straightened & polished, not aftermarket. Many of the pieces are still in their original packaging, many from Danchuck.
If you choose the Buy-it-Now option, I will also includeboth a front and back seat complete, the back is decent quality, custom black & white vinyl. The padding is old & dry but still intact. No large rips or tears, just some pinholesand scuff marks. The front seat has been stripped to the frame, sandblasted, epoxy primered, and broken springs replaced.A very similar brand new seat cover was purchased from Automotive Interiors of Springfield MA as well as a installation kit with burlap, foam, batting & hog rings. Also included with the buy-it-now option are4used door panels that match the seat covers and come with the original door panel stainless trim pieces. Pictures can be seen by looking at my other auction that starts sunday. Both auctions include the seats & door panels so whichever one sells first as a buy it now, will get these items. If the seats sell separately first, I'll lower the Buy-it-Now option on the car by what they sell for.
This car was an early production unit made in december of 56 which is why the engine is a 265, and not a 283. Model No is 1019D Series 2403. The engine serial # is F1206C which is for a 265 motor with a 3 speed transmission (on the column). The radiator date code is November 56 which means it was probably original to the car. I haven't checked other components serial numbers, the car seems to be very much original & unmolested.
I will be posting a video to U-Tubeafter the holidayof the car starting and driving and will add the link to this ad.
The vehicle and parts are available for inspection in person by appointment only. The car is stored at a repair facility and can only be seen during business hours. Contact me at paulandellie@snet.net if you wish to see the car.
