1928 Chevrolet National Sport Roadster
Description
A great example of a rare, low production survivor from the late 20's. Rust-free vehicle built in Flint, Michigan with only two family owners since new. The original family restored the car in 1965 using the original two tone colors in lacquer paint that has held up very well over the years! The floor mat and running board covers are the original pieces from 1928, not reproductions, and are still in great condition. 1928 was the last year of the 4 cylinder engine and the first year for 4 wheel mechanical brakes. We have driven this car around town and it runs and drives great. The original 4 cylinder engine pulls great and runs well with no smoke backed by the original 3 speed non-synchronized transmission. A 6 volt electric fuel pump has been installed to assist with cold starts after sitting for extended periods of time. Once up and running, the car fires right up.
All 5 tires are correct 4.40 x 21 black walls on pinstriped disk wheels. This car has both optional front and rear bumpers installed. Replacement parts are available for this car including mechanical parts and body parts. The car was regularly driven on 4 cylinder tours by the previous owner so it has proven to be a reliable car for the long haul. This would be a great car to show in a preservation class with the VCCA or drive on tours. The car has a clear title and we also have the 1928 operators manual that is included with the purchase.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if there are other pictures you would like to see of the car. Thank you for looking!
