Description

1968 Chevy Caprice 2dr coupe. Matching number 396 325HP. TH400 automatic with 12 bolt open 2.73 ratio rear end. The engine runs but has a knock so it will need work and probably shouldn't be ran too much until that is addressed. The carb is not original...it has a Holley on it now. It does not have the original distributor. I do not know if the engine has ever been rebuilt or not. Was told the tranny was rebuilt but have no way to confirm so. Looks like it was. It will move around just fine. Brakes need work however. The heater core leaks. The carpet is gone...was removed to inspect the floors. The headliner is also gone. I have the rest of the interior parts not shown in the pics (rear seat, rear arm rests, kick panels and the seat belts. The belts are the deluxe style. The car originally came from Arkansas. The body is really pretty solid. Good floors and trunk. There is rust in the lower fender corners, a few spots around the rear wheel wells and the trunk weatherstrip gutter at the bottom on the passenger side. There are areas under the vinyl top that are soft. There is a light dent in the passenger door and the passenger quarter. They don't show up very well in the pics. The frame is solid and pretty clean. The dash looks decent except the pad looks like a poor replacement. It has the rare Vigilite U46 option. Fronts look complete. The rear is all there but the wires are broken. Has P.S. A/C and power drum brakes. Has dual exhaust which looks fairly new. Tires will need replacing. I would consider this a project car. It is not something your going to be able to drive without some work but wouldn't take too much to make it a driver.
This car will need to be trailered. It's not road worthy as is. The brakes are iffy. If you have a shipper pick it up for you, it should be considered non-operational.
If you would like any more pics, please let me know. It's stored in a unheated pole barn so can be easily looked over if you want to inspect it. I would encourage you to do so. It's hard to show condition with 24 pics.
A $500 paypal deposit will be due within 24 hours of purchase. The balance due within 7 days. I would prefer the balance in cash at the time of pickup. If you can't pick it up within a week, full payment will need to be made by cashiers check. The car and title will not leave my possession until check clears.
The car has clear Wisconsin title in my name. If needed, I can store the car for you for awhile...not forever though. Thanks for looking and please contact me with any questions.
