Description

Hi Folks !!Fore sale: 1949 Chevrolet 4400 1 1/2 Ton 235 6 Cylinder 4Vin# 5SKD2612speed with working dual cylinder Hoist/Dump manufactured by Obeco. This truck was a Kansas Farm truck/hay wagon in its prime than retired decades ago and parked.Flat bed racks will also be included, they are in Good shape built by the flat bed manufacture Obeco. PTO+ Hoist/Dump bed is in good working condition, however the wood planking has been removed new wood planks will need to be installed. The cab and chassis show to be all original. At some point Cab heat was added, evidence from holes drilled threw the fire wall are present. At this point a original heater box + a 12 volt blower motor and speed switch has been installed and in good working order.Since I have owned this truck I have done the following.Added Cab heat.Brakes have completely re worked and gone through.LightsLed front to rear all replaced.12 volt upgrade.Starter replaced. All ignition components.Valve adjustment @ gasket + push rod cover gasket.Carburetor cleaned and rebuilt.Fuel pump replaced.Seat upholstered.Period visor. At some point the 235 motor looks to have prior work done if not rebuilt. A motor that is almost 70 years old would not run as strong as this 235 does. Also the blue paint on the motor is not a factory color.Top speed on this truck is 45/50 ish, this work horse is geared low for hauling, 1st gear is almost unusable unless there is a ton on the back. The cab on this truck has no through rust, floor boards are in good shape. Cab corners ( both sides) are clean/good shape no cab through rust. Door windows are in working order. Door jams are clean/ no through rust, doors open close and lock. Understand that there is rust on this truck but there is no through rust. Patina is everywhere along with rust spots, this truck is not perfect as it sets Patina would explain the over all condition. Truck was originally blue and at some point re painted green. Colors are faded together and now this truck would be considered a patina truck. Patina trucks have a certain vibe of there own, just enjoy them as they are:)What this truck needs is a proud owner to take it across the finish line, somebody that will put the effort into this vintage work horse and getter back we're it needs to be, the potential is there!!The truck drives.. the 235 6cyl runs strong and pulls hard,My interest in this truck is to find we're it belongs and find it a home. Items need to be finished For example ... all windless/door weather seals needs to be replaced.I can provide delivery, I’m located in mid Missouri please contact me for a delivery bid if you need it brought to you. I also will work with any individuals that are overseas and need it delivered to there port of destination.Tires do need to be replaced, ‘split rims’ deep tread 10 ply tires but weathered and cracked they do hold air and can be driven on if need be = short distance only =truck should be transported via a trailer.
