This is a factory BB 396, auto, 12 bolt Posi El Camino. Big Block El Caminos are pretty rare, not too many of them built and/or remain! Appears to be Numbers matching 396 engine, THM 400 auto trans (appears to be matching, but unable to find stamp number on trans) and 12 bolt posi diff. Power steering and power drum brakes. Factory air shocks have been replaced. New rear coil springs. The carb is not the correct one, but the original does come with it. The original carb has an internal crack in it. This is an unrestored vehicle with very nice black paint. Original color was Nantucket Blue and it still retains its original blue interior in pretty nice shape, some wear on carpet and door panels. Original steering wheel included in sale. Also have new reproduction "SS" Hood not painted, still in the box.. No rust, very solid body and floors. Probably the nicest El Camino bed I have ever seen, the inside of the bed doesn't really have any damage in it. Chrome and trim in nice shape, some of the trim shows normal signs of age and wear. Bumpers original, nice drive quality. Upper and lower control arm bushings replaced, upper and lower ball joints replaced. All rubber fuel lines replaced. Recent service. Pertronix point conversion This vehicles has been in dry storage for at least the last 14 years. Nice chrome 15x8 corvette rally wheels with near new BFG radial T/A tires. Dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Runs and drives nice, recent servicing. Under hood is not detailed and shows normal wear. Purchaser responsible for shipping. May choose to end auction early, vehicle is for sale locally.
