You are looking at a nice example of the last year of the fullsize Blazer Sport, as the next year in 1995, it turned into the Tahoe. As you will see below and in the pictures, alot of time and money have been spent in restoring this beauty. It will make someone a nice truck. It needs nothing at this point. At some point down the road, some of the paint will have to be freshened up and then it would be pretty much mint. Below is a brief description:
Exterior: The paint is pretty nice to be 23 years old. Most of the red appears to be original. I had the hood and tops of the fenders stripped and painted when the clear started getting thin. The silver was just faded on the bottom, so I had it re-done about six months after the hood. Both done last year with Dupont paint materials and look great. There are pictures below behind the fender and quarterflares, no rust at all. Roof, tops of doors, and a little bit of the quarters are starting to get that thin clear coat peel look as the hood and fenders did. No real dents at all to speak of, one peck ding in hood and maybe one ortwo on the whole vehicleis all I see, a few places have been fixed with touch up paint. I am very critical when it comes to vehicle descriptions, so bare with me. Doors shut nice and tight, don't sag and rattle. Grille and all front lamps have been replaced due to fading, brake lamps also, all original real GM stuff, no aftermarket crap was used. Front and rear bumper strip pads were cracked, replaced those too with GM parts. With a little more paint work, the exterior will be completely restored to new condition, as it sits now, I think it's about a 7 out of 10.
Interior: Wow, is the only word that comes to mind when you see this factory interior. The gray interior, honestly, looks like it did in 1994 and has never been upgraded. Check out the pictures, I don't think there is another truck out there with interior this nice, and to be the light gray fabric that was so easy to ruin. Dash has no cracks, as these are well known for. Seats show very, very minor wear if any. Carpet has big mats covering it, so it also is nice. A/C was just juiced up for summer and is cold, heat works as it should also. Windows, locks, etc, all work perfectly. Factory radio, someone has added a cd changer, never used it, so I don't even know if it works. Pictures don't dothe insidesjustice, easy 9 out of 10.
Drivetrain: We all know the 5.7 liter 350 was probably the best motorGM ever came up with until the LS. It has plenty of power, they never give problems, and will go forever on miles. That's why all your street rods you see, (Fords included), have this engine in them. Performs perfect as it should, just had the oil changed and ready to go. New fuel pump and filter in December. Transmission is the overdrive, shifts perfect, no problems there either. 4wd goes in and out flawlessly, only had it engaged once since I've owned it, which was yesterday, just to make sure it is working properly for the new owner. Just installed last week are brand new tie rods inner and outer, steering center link, four shocks, brake rotors, brake pads, ball joints, and 3" Flowmaster with pipe. All suspension components have 0 miles on them, alignment done at same time. Factory aluminum wheels had cleat coat checking on them, I had them completely refurbished and re-clear coated, new center caps as well. They look better than new ones, very nice. Tires are new as well, might have 20 miles on them. I'm sure the running gear is a 9 out of 10, I've went through everything pretty thoroughly it needed I believe. While everything underneath was apart, I had them clean up under there real good, and put a thin coat of Wurth chassis black under the fender wells and on the frame. Not undercoating, but paint. I hate to see that crap under a vehicle, because people try to hide stuff by doing that. Underside is very nice and rust free, pictures below are before paint, so you can see how nice and solid it was before I painted it, no rust.
In closing, we all know how few and far between these two door fullsize Blazers/Tahoes are getting. Finding one in this condition is getting near impossible, it's not perfect, but boy it's really nice. I was well on my way to restoring it piece by piece, all the hard and expensive stuff is done. Selling due to medical reasons, not because I really want to, just have to devote my money to that for now. As you read above, a lot of money has been spent making sure everything on this truck is correct and the way it should be right down to the most minor of things, like the new wiper stuff and battery. I tend to go overboard sometimes, lol. Out of pocket money spent so far, is well over $4000, that doesn't include the price I paid for it when I bought it. So please, no silly offers, I don't have to sell it, just need to. But I also know, you never get all your money back out of a project, so reasonable offers will be considered to end auction early. Please check my feedback, I describe my items very objectively because I am pretty picky about my things. I fix anything that needs fixing the correct way, I like my stuff nice and well taken care of. Any bidder with a feedback score of 10 or less, or maybe a negative rating, please contact me before bidding or it will be canceled. Sorry people, but you wouldn't believe the problems lately with non paying bidders. A non refundable deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction's end. Anything you want a picture of that you don't see in the ad, just shoot me a message and I'll get one to you. Thanks for looking and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Take care.
