1986 Chevy K-10 4WD V8. 64k Miles, Original Owner, Stored in Heated Garage
Description
For sale is my fathers 1986 Chevy pickup that was purchased new at a Chevy dealer about 20 minutes away. The vehicle spent a vast majority of it's life in his heated garage. It saw snow maybe 2 or 3 times and rain maybe 20 times (not bad for 32 years...). Original owner with complete documented maintenance history and the Chevy factory service manual included.
The truck does not have many options but it is in fantastic condition: 305 V8, auto trans with overdrive, AM radio, crank windows and no AC. The truck is on it's second set of tires and they are pretty well worn. The truck was not detailed prior to taking these photos. The interior basically never got dirty. The exterior is in excellent condition as well with the original paint. There are a couple of scuffs in the paint due to hauling things but no dents. The tailgate has a some marks from gravel that was dumped into the bed. A plastic bed liner was installed before anything was hauled. We pulled it out a couple of times to make sure it was cleanunderneath.
As you can see from the pictures, the frame is in excellent condition due to undercoating and the fact that saw very little rain and basically no snow/salt. There was one small spot of rust in the right front wheel well that my dad patched last year.
The truck is quite a conversation piece. We get people asking us if we want to sell it all of the time and people routinely (gas stations, stop lights etc.) ask if it is original (yes).
Bottom line - super clean truck, original owner, never painted, never wrecked. Drive it anywhere, take it to a show and use it for projects around the house.
