1963 Chevrolet Corvair 900 Monza Spyder Coupe
Description
My good friend has found a GTO project and has decided to sell his '63 Monza Spyder. I am listing it for him as he does not do Ebay. The Corvair is a good solid project car that starts, runs great, rides, drives and stops! Looks like original paint. The bad news is the turbo engine is long gone having been replaced by a dual carb 110 hp version of unknown vintage. Mileage shows 24,537 but is certainly not correct. Possibly 124,537 but he really does not know. True mileage unknown. He has a clear title. He believes it to be a real Spyder but cannot prove it. It retains it's 4-speed and in dash tach. He recently installed new radials and rebuilt the wheel cylinders and carburetors. This is a project car needing everything. No extra parts come with it, what you see in the photos is what you get. Rust showing is minimal as pictured. I did not crawl under it, my buddy states that underside rust is there but not serious. The car resides in Medina, Ohio. My buddy is a good guy so naturaly all particulars are very flexible. He recommends trailering it as it has not seen highway travel in some time. There is a Lex Mayers dealer tag on the back. I believe Lex Mayers was a Chevrolet dealer in Atlanta. That would explain how the Corvair has survived the tin worm. Again, a solid fun project car for sale only because of a change of interest. Bids start at a fair $2,900.00 with no reserve games. Feel free to ask questions. If I do not have the answer I will try and find out.
