1963 Monza Spider Corvair Convertible
Description
Up for sale is a 1963 Corvair Monza Spider convertible, turbo charged. Runs and rides like new! This car was restored about three years ago but now it's time for a new project. This car was taken apart, painted and put back together with lots of new parts including rebuilding the engine. This body has no rust. The engine was taken apart and hot tanked, had new rings and bearings (rods, mains, and cam bearings) and the cylinder jugs were honed. It has all new seals. We also installed a new clutch disc and release bearing.
While the engine and transmission were out we put all new steel brake lines on, new rubber brake lines, 4 new wheel cylinders, and all the brake shoes were replaced. We had the rear wheel bearings rebuilt as well. Installed new gas tank and new sending unit, the muffler also was replaced. The interior has lots of new stuff! We reupholstered all the seats including the buns, installed new carpet, new dashboard, new door panels and door sill plates. All the weather stripping was also replaced (trunk, doors, convertible top and engine compartment). The outside of the car was repainted to the original color red. Installed brand-new bumpers, grill and trim moulding. Had a brand new top installed. Has new boot for around top, and we added 4 new tires. Note the car is actually located in Colonial Beach, Virginia. This car is SOLD AS IS. You must pick it up in Colonial Beach,
