Description

I found this truck at a farm where they were tearing down the buildings to make more room for planting. Inside what used to be the blacksmith shop sat this truck (see photo). It is a 1 owner 1950 chevrolet 3800 dually with 51k original miles on it. this truck is 99% rust free. Has 3 small areas of rust. 1st, the emblem on the hood has a rust hole on the right side, the drivers cab corner has an area about the size of a silver dollar, and the passenger floor board has an area the size of a quarter by your right foot butting up to the door frame. The under side of the truck has no rust at all. No rust under the body or the bed as you can see by the pics. He had drained the fuel years back to winterize it and it helped a ton. fast forward to last weekend. we drained the fuel that was in the line, cleaned the points, hooked up a new battery and it fired right up. Bled the brakes and they are at the top. all 4 gears and clutch seems to work great. New tires back in 1976 ( CO_OP brand). Front tires are weather cracked but hold air and no slow leaks. Interior needs completely redone as far as seat and headliner. All gauges work correctly. some lights work including the dome light when you open the door. Some bulbs are burned out. The body has a couple dents but is super straight other than that. The paint is actually under the 42 years of barn dripping moisture but i thought i would let it be, seemed to take on a rustic look. If you want other pics, or a video of it running and driving just give a call or message me and i will send you what you need. I tried getting a lot of the shots under the truck to show how straight and rust free it is. All glass is good and crack free. There is one small chip in the drivers window but it is small. Has 3 fold up 1950 road triangles that came with ( see photos). The banner in the photos does not go with the truck. It was under the seat and was hung off the side of the truck during the parade.

Just a couple quik notes I missed. There is absolutely no frame or body rust underneath this truck. The only rust is slight and in the 3 areas I specified. The wiring is 99% stock and all in its original place. The windows roll up and down on their own and there are no cracks or fading. There is one chip in the windshield the size of a penny but no starring. The passenger door has a key lock which works good and so do both door handles. there is no key lock on the drivers side. The drivers side has a manually operated vent that works good. It opens a door on the drivers side to let in fresh air. If you want any other photos in specific areas I will send you whatever you need. Thanks again for your interest
