Up for sale is my 66 Pro touring Chevelle. Please read the description in it's entirety and I'm sure most of your questions will be answered in the detailed description. I acquired the car from a gentleman in Arizona who had started the build on the car.The car was sold new in California and appears to have stayed in the southwest up until I purchased it. When I purchased the car it was essentially a painted shell which had been put back on the frame. There is a picture in the listing which shows the car when I purchased it. Upon receiving the car I was disappointed to find out how few parts that were suppose to be with the car were actually there. Below I will try to detail all aspects of the car. I might add the car does retain its original floor plans and trunk pans which were very nice.
PAINT, BODY,TRIM - Fortunately the car did have a nice body and Base coat Clear coat paint job. I blocked and buffed the entire car to bring it to its current state. Yes it is slick and well above average paint and body. EVERY PIECE OF EXTERIOR TRIM IS NEW!! The bumpers,rocker panels, wheel opening moldings, door handles, locks, emblems, headlight and taillight bezels, taillight, parking light, reverse light lenses are all NEW! The windshield and rear window moldings are all new. ALL GLASS IS NEW as well side glass including vent windows front and back glass. Obviously all weatherstrip in the car is new as well. I also installed a small chin spoiler from Randy's spoilers on the front.
SUSPENSION, BRAKES - Let me start by saying the underside of the car is every bit as nice as the top which is depicted in the pictures. I started by removing the entire suspension front and rear from the car. Although the body had already been off the frame it was not to my satisfaction. It is now! The rear end was bead blasted and rebuilt with all new components including a 3.73 gear with posi. The entire underside of the body was cleaned spotless and then sprayed with a semi gloss bedliner coating making it easier to clean. The results speak for themselves. The Suspension consists of a complete RIDETECH package including a splined front sway bar, front and rear coil overs. tubular upper and lower control arms and rear sway bar with all new bushings ball joints and Ridetech tall spindles. The brakes are C7 Z51 Corvette brakes with 6 piston front calipers and 4 piston rears with 14" front rotors and 13.5" rears.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION - The engine is a LS1 with some performance upgrades which include TEXAS SPEED cam TSP233239-112 233/239, .600/.600and dual valve springs and chromoly push rods and titanium retainers. It has 36lb denso injectors also from texas speed. As you can see in the pictures I am also running a sheet metal intake and 102 mm throttle body with factory LS1 computer with a Current Performance wiring Harness. Stainless long tube headers with full 2.5" flowmaster exhaust all the way to the back. The exhaust exits behind the rear wheel factory style. The transmission is a completely rebuilt 4L60E with a 3000RPM stall converter. The car was tuned by Jeremy Formato.
INTERIOR AND ELECTRIC- Everything on the interior is new as well using all factory reproduction seat covers door panels headliner and such. The seat belt are aftermarket and include front and rear belts. The car has been completely rewired with a factory upgrade kit from AMERICAN AUTOWIRE. The gauges are DAKOTA DIGITAL VHX series with a really clean look. The air conditioning kit is from VINTAGE AIR with a clean install with all vents in the dash vs. hanging below. The Audio system has a JBL tuner with Bluetooth located in the factory clock location all speakers are hidden. It includes a JL AUDIO amp, subwoofer and 5x7's in the rear deck all hidden below package tray.
WHEELS AND TIRES - The wheels are BILLET SPECIALTIES WEDGE CONCAVE series with KUMHO tires the specific's are list below
FRONT 18X8 with 5.375 backspace mounted on 225/45-18 tires
REAR 19x10 with 5.75 backspace mounted on 275/40-19 tires
YES EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR WORKS from the A/C to the horn or light in the console check!
