Description

1970 CHEVROLET C/20 PICK UP TRUCK
75868 original miles !

307 ci small block, 3 speed column shift transmission and 2 wheel drive.

Am radio and heater with vinyl covered seats that appear to be original. The doors shut solidly and the hood opens and closes like the day it was built. This is the perfect project truck for that ”Sleeper” you have been wanting to put together. Leave the paint the way it is or scuff it down and respray it with your favorite tri-coat. Install a Chevy crate motor and transmission and hit the road. (505 HP Connect & Cruise Powertrain System would be just about right, I would think. The 621 HP ZZ572/620 Connect & Cruise Powertrain System might be a little bit better). Google Chevy Crate Engines.

I am listing this for a friend that wanted to use it as a daily driver but got discouraged when he was told the engine was bad. It turns over freely but won't fire up.

Take a good look at the pictures of this truck. Your going to find a pick up body that is in very good condition for it's age, the only problem seems to be the rocker panels and floor on the drivers side.

Reproduction floor pans can be had for under $500 and the rocker panels under $100. The rest of the body appears to be rust free and very straight, You will see the floor of the box is still holding water from the last storm a week or so ago.

You will find five new tires (not just 4), 16” 8 lug wagon wheels that are in great shape, (8 on 6.5" bolt circle indicative of the 3/4 ton) Glass that is breakage free and the door windows roll up and down as easy as they did 48 years ago.

The interior is still untouched, the condition can be seen in the photos of the headliner. The padded dash is still original and in fantastic condition. Even the steering wheel is in great shape. Everything works, the glass in the lights is unbroken and the trim is all there and in pretty decent shape.

I would get rid of those hooks on the side of the box and those ugly mirrors.

I can almost imagine this truck next summer, slammed, sitting on “Detroit Steel Wheels”, cruzin Saginaw Street at “Back to the Bricks” with you behind the wheel.

Will take a deposit to paypal of $500.00 at the end of the auction. (non-refundable). We can help you load it onto your trailer or hauler when remainder of cost is in hand.
