Description

1979 CHEVY C-10 - SILVERADO
ONLY 1400 MILES SINCE RESTORATION!!A REAL ARIZONA BARN FIND!!
ROTISSERIE RESTORATION!!The pick up truck started its evolution as a basic packing mule that was a relentless working vehicle for the farmer or the tradesman. It started its life with an uncomfortable seat, a steering wheel, maybe 3 forward gears and a reverse and a reliable engine under the hood that could tow, haul, or carry supplies to and from a job. But as life continued, so did the evolution of the pick up truck and it metamorphosed from just a work vehicle to an everyday vehicle and some had as many options as the Cadillac.
By the 1970's, the pick up truck was in full force. It clocked in to work from 9-5 and then, with a quick bath, could go out and spend a night on the town. Now trucks had plush seats, title steering, power windows and much more. More importantly, the aftermarket companies started to flourish with parts and accessories to help you individualize your truck whether it be decked out with chrome, better wheels, lifting it an extra 8 inches, or all of the above. You just can't get more American then the pick up. Thats why collecting these beauties are as much fun as owning one back in the day.
Finding the right truck is hard because they were all mostly beat to death through its life and finding one to redo could be more costly then the truck is worth. That's why this 1979 Chevy C-10 Silverado could be a smart choice for you. Not only does it wear the Chevy bow tie but its packed with all the goodies and extras you would want in a truck. Please read on to learn what makes this truck so special and make sure to view all the photos and video at the bottom. Thank you for visiting.
Exterior:
This truck was found in a barn in Arizona as solid as a rock, which made it a good candidate for a full rotisserie restoration and which it received just that. This truck was completely disassembled, and made better then new. It is a pure show truck, solid and straight and detailed to the hilt both on top, in the middle and underneath. It has pictures documenting the restoration both before and after and has been to some of the best showsin the country including Barrett Jackson. The body is straight and completely rust free. The underneath has been restored with suspension, a lift kit, new lining and new tires. Even the wheels have been refinished. Keep in mind, if the original parts were good, they were refinished and put back on the truck. In the photos, please notice how crisp the body lines are, how much depth is in the paint and how brilliant the bright work is. All the glass is perfect and in excellent condition. Only 1 blemish in the stainless trim that must have happened after the restoration below the rear window on the back of the cab(see the photo). Review all the photos and video and let me know of any questions you may have.
Interior:
The interior is in pure show condition. Made back to its original condition and this truck came packed with options. Tilt wheel, ice cold air conditioning, am/fm stereo, power windows and a full gauge package. Plus it even has cruise control. Again if the original part was good, it was restored and re used. Everything works on the inside. The interior is as good, if not better, then new. Other then needing a minor dusting, the interior is in perfect condition and show ready. Please view the pictures and let me know of any questions you may have.
Drive-Train:
The truck came equipped with the 6.6L 400 cubic inch engine with the TH400 transmission and the Dana rears. Everything has either been rebuilt or restored or upgraded. The upgrades are mostly on the suspension. This truck is road or show ready and is in new condition. It runs and drives great and with its motor, trans and rear set up, it will be able to conquer any type of terrain. The truck also has two gas tanks. Please watch the video to hear it run and see it drive and let me know of any questions you may have.
In summation:
We all know what it cost to restore one of these trucks to this level. You get to the point of no return and the quest to finish a perfect restoration becomes more important then the money you spent. There are two ways to get a truck to this level presented here today. 1) Try and do the restoration yourself if you're capable or have the funds or try and find a time machine and go back in time to 1979 and buy one new. Even buying it new may not look as good as this. This is a NO RESERVE auction, THE OWNER JUST WANTS TO FIND A GOOD HOME FOR THE TRUCK. So bid to win!!
Payment:
This seems to be the hardest part. Please make sure all funds are available before purchase. If you have zero feedback I'd ask you to send me your phone number so we can have a conversation on how the process works. Ask all questions up front before bidding, don't bid to win then start asking questions.
I require a $1000 non refundable deposit immediately after auction ends. Balance due in 7 days. No exceptions. Car will remain in storage until funds have cleared and shipping company has arrived. If you can not meet these requirements, please do not bid. Thank you!
