1982 Z28 Camaro- VERY clean low miles- NO Reserve
Description
1982 Z28 survivor car...it screams 1980's! Beautiful all original car.
I purchased this car in 1986 when I was 19 years old! It was my college car and being raised a car guy, I took meticulous care of the car for the last 32 years! Regular oil changes and wash/wax. I am the second owner and the car has never been driven in snow or salt! Body is solid with no rust. Car was rustproofed and all underside and inner surfaces are under coated for protection. Factory 305 CID CrossFire engine. TH200 automatic transmission. Many complain about crossfire, but I can tell you I have never had a single problem with this one, still starts right up and runs great. The key is regular treatments of fuel injector cleaner. No cracks in the dash and seats are perfect, no signs of wear even! Power locks, windows, and hatch release. Factory AM/FM Cassette stereo still in car! AC does not work. Stock copper radiator was replaced last year with an aluminum radiator as the original had some plugged cores. I put all new belts and hoses on at that time too! I also replaced the hood and hatch gas shocks, so they are new and both stay open perfectly now. The car was an early 1982 and has the active hook flaps that open and pull air into the intake...they still work great too! 82,000 original miles. Car is all original. I bought it in 1986 with 8000 miles on it. Owned it ever since and have taken meticulous care of it. Title is clear. T-Tops do NOT leak...pop them off and cruise with the wind in your hair and sun on your head!
Car cover goes with it as well!In full disclosure- the transmission (once the car warms up) shifts sooner than it should and does not downshift as quickly as it should. It is not a drive ability issue, just an annoyance. I think there is likely a vacuum leak or the shift module is flaky. The transmission itself does not slip or exhibit any issues with driving. I do have a brand new TH200 Transmission still in the blue plastic GM crate that goes with the car. I picked it up planning to just swap the whole transmission someday...but never did. Never needed to as it still drives fine and I very rarely drive it.
