chevrolet bel air/150/210 1957 Townsman 4dr Station Wagon
Description
*Note, This car has never been titled. In1957 it was sold in Alabama with a bill of sale. This car will also be sold now with a bill of sale only. If this is not acceptable please do not bid.
**Note, This car is obviously a rusty project car. It has rust in its rocker panels. It has rust in its doors. It has rust in its floor pans. The prior owner replaced some of the rusty floor pans with sheet metal patches. This includes the wagons spare tire well. It more than likely has rust elsewhere.
It the above disclosure does not discourage you then then please continue reading my add.
I have for sale a 1957 Chevrolet 4dr Station Wagon. This wagon is the210 Townsman model. It is equipped with an early 265 or 283 power pack 4 barrel engine and a 3 speed manual transmission.
I placed a very low reserve on the car so that it will hopefully sell without having to relist the car again.
I bought the car a while back from an old street rodder. He claimed that he got it from the original owner. He gave me the cars original dealers sales invoice when I bought it from him.
Since I purchased the car I have replaced the car's dash pod and steering column. I have also bought a lot of used extra replacement parts. These parts include, extra car doors passenger fender, tailgate, doors, rocker panels, trim, front and rear bumper ends etc.
I have the matching front wheel/tire for the car which is pictured. This tiregoes flat after a few days and that is why the spare S-10 wheel is on the car now. This wheelis included in the sale.
This car has a cracked windshield, side glass and rust in areas such as rocker panels, doors and other areas where these type cars typically rust.
The car's engine is hard to start after sitting for a few weeks. The car's battery is weak from sitting up. It needs the engine ran a while to charge it up or to be replaced. The engine's 4 barrel carburetor could use a rebuild along with a good engine tuneup.
When I replaced the car's steering column and dash pod I did not re-attach the turn signal wiring. I had planned to re-attach this when I painted the car. Since the reserve is so low I am selling it as is.
I posted a photo of the car's stainless, door panels, window garnish mouldings, grill, turn signal bar, bumpers and etc. along with a lot of the extra parts which come with the sale.
Serious bidders please ask questions. The reserve is set very low so that hopefully it will sell without having to relist.
I expect the winning bidder to pay for the car in full within 7 working days. I will accept payment with a secure bank wire transfer or cash in person.
Shipping is up to the buyer. It can stay here at no charge for up to 4 weeks as long as the car is paid for within 7 working days.
Thank you for taking the time to read this add.
