1991 camaro Z28 1LE 5.7
Description
Up for sale is a 1991 Camaro Z28 1LE option. Equipped with the 5.7 Tuned Port Injection engine. Automatic transmission. Ordered with deluxe beechwood tan interior, rear window defrost, AM/FM radio with cassette player (aftermarket CD in it now), power door locks, dual vanity mirror. Other than that it's all 1LE . Larger front brake rotors and dual piston calipers. Rear disc brakes with performance G92/G80 rear end. Dual catalytic converter N10 exhaust (replaced with stainless magnaflow dual car system). New Walker mid pipe and muffler with dual tail pipes. Fresh alternator, distributor cap and rotor. New spark plugs as well. Electric hatch pull down motor works as it should. Manual mirrors, door locks and windows all work perfectly. Just replaced a main brake line front to rear, as well as both front brake hoses. Tan seats are in excellent condition and super clean and comfortable. The interior is in overall great condition. The only thing needed is a headliner. The dash pad is better than most, a couple light cracks .
On to the exterior. The car looks great when its wet, clear coat is starting to fail in spots, bumpers, hood blisters and section of the roof. A full repaint would be beneficial for this car. Along with the paint fade is some hail damage from some time ago (before I owned it) its limited to the hood, roof, pass side front fender and door. The rest is pretty much dent free. The body is solid and straight. Qne spot of flood board damage is included in the photos. I've blasted some light surface rust from the floors to reveal solid floors, only that one spot needs and attention. A simple patch job should take care of it for good.
Front tires are good. Plenty of tread life. Rear tires are shot, it's hard to not spin the rear tires from every stop. She just wants to go. Currently the tachometer is not reading properly, I've been meaning to repair it before the car is sold. Everything else works as it should. I drove this car from northeast ohio to south Georgia last year. Only stopping for gas. No issues whatsoeve, I would recommend tires before making any long trips.
I installed a new transmission mount, but the trans has a really hard shift into drive sometimes. Most likely what caused the stock mount to fail. All other shifts through the gears are smooth.
If at all possible, I would recommend anyone to come see the car in person. Drive it, inspect it. I would love to hang onto this car, but I've got more than I know what to do with. And it should be in someone's garage insted of my driveway. I have a blast driving this car from time to time. But not often enough
With the value of these cars on the incline, now would be a great time to buy one needing a little work for a great price. Being 1 of 478 produced in 1991 with a 1LE performance package.
