1948 CHEVROLET 3100 STREET ROD PICKUP
Description
This is a professionally built, high quality and very detailed 48 Chevrolet Resto-Rod. I guarantee his truck will ride, handle and perform better than any other 48-53 Chevrolet pickup you will ever own! This Street Rod Pickup rides on all GM coil spring suspension, front and rear, and is powered by a Fuel Injected 5.7 LT-1 engine pumping out around 375 HP. The power is transmitted to the 3.23 Positraction rear axle via a 4L60E automatic transmission with a high stall converter. The front suspension consists of a professionally built Chassis Tech front subframe which utilizes the superior 78-88 GM "G" body (Monte Carlo, Cutlass, Regal, etc) suspension and steering components as well as the Impala/Caprice spindles, 12" brake rotors and calipers for awesome stopping power (No lightweight inferior Must ll suspension here!). Following up in the rear is an Impala/Caprice triangulated four link coil spring rear suspension with GM Level Air Ride. This truck sits and looks as well as it drives and can be driven anywhere. This Pickup has been assembled without anycompromises. Exceptional metal work throughout the body with an almost flawless surface. All electrical wiring connections are crimped, soldered and sealed with heat shrink tubing. Most other electrical connections utilize GM Weather pac connectors. There are less than 11k miles on the odometer since this truck was restored.
This truck was built to be driven, not hauled around on a trailer car show to car show. If you are looking for the best of the best and demand your street rod ride and handle as well as it looks, search no further! I professionally built street rods and street rod chassis full time for over 30 years. I've done chassis for the best of the best car builders such as Chip and Sam Foose. Many of the vehicles I've done have sold for big $ at auctions like Barrett Jackson over the years. Currently there is a chopped, stretched cab 41 Ford pickup that is competing in the top ten for NSRA this year that I did the chassis and all the body metalwork on. It was just featured in one of the recent street rod magazines. I've had many vehicles that I either completely built or did the chassis on featured in the magazines over the past several decades. This isn't my first rodeo! I retired from the street rod business about 10 years ago (You can see my other listing for my chassis fixtures here on Ebay).
This was/is the very last street rod that I built and it was put together for my own person use with no thought at the time of ever selling. However due to my age and other familycommitmentsmy lifestyle has changed so at this time I am willing to part with this pickup as long I know it is going to a good home and to someone who will appreciate it as much as I do. I will consider a low mileage (preferably a diesel pusher)(under 40') motorhome with cash. Buy this 48 Pickup Street Rod and Iguarantee you will not be disappointed.
Most people looking on Ebay for something are mostly searching forgiveaway bargains so I'm not really expecting this to be the best venue for the sale of my truck. That being said I thought I'd still give it a shot before listing it, with all the workinvolved and selling it through Barrett Jackson. If itdoesn't sell here within the next 3 weeks I will not renew the listing. So best to act quick as there are limited quantities!
Thanks, Bob
