Description

We see a lot of pickup trucks here at Streetside Classics, but rarely do we get them as nicely restored as this 1972 Chevy C10 Cheyenne Super. Full of options, it is very well detailed, expertly built, and tastefully finished, and offers a few upgrades like cold A/C and built 396 that make it a genuine pleasure to drive. This is one of those vehicles that almost turned out too nice to drive, which is why it's... available today. I doubt they came much nicer than this from the factory, and even though it's been driven a few miles since it was completed, it still looks like a million bucks. That brilliant bright red finish required thousands of dollars just in materials, never mind the hours spent buffing, sanding, and applying the paint. The truck was especially clean to start with, and the results speak for themselves. The Super Cheyenne comes fully dressed with lots of shiny stuff, including stainless body side moldings, woodgrained inserts on the sides and the tailgate, plus big, bold CHEVROLET lettering out back. The bed is just gorgeous so you might want to think twice before you throw your tools in there. The beautiful interior is up to snuff, with handsome black and red houndstooth upholstery on the factory bench and a whole lot of new equipment. In fact, pretty much everything you can see or touch IS new, including the carpets, door panels, and even the seat belts. Power steering, power brakes, power windows, and A/C were all part of the deal, along with a handsome three-spoke steering wheel that would look equally at home in a Camaro. The gauges in these trucks are perhaps the best-looking factory instruments of the era, all fully rebuilt and with crisp graphics on their faces, and the woodgraining on the instrument panel was a part of the Super Cheyenne package as well. A modern AM/FM stereo radio was fitted in the dash without cutting, so it looks like it was born there and it feeds speakers neatly installed in the lower doors. The engine is a 396 cubic inch V8 built by Matt Bishop. A GM intake and Rochester 4-barrel carburetor handle the fuel side, an HEI distributor lights it up and shorty headers and factory exhaust manifolds handle the spent gasses. Check out the neatly arranged wiring, the chrome air cleaner, and shiny dress-up for the valve covers and satin black inner fenders, all of which make this an engine bay you'll want to show off every chance you get. The transmission is a 700R4 4-speed automatic with overdrive, making this a great choice for a daily driver and a great long-range cruiser. There's a lot of new equipment underneath, including shocks and the exhaust system, which uses Flowmasters and turn-downs behind the rear wheels for a great sound. It also includes power steering and power front disc brakes, so you shouldn't be afraid to hit the road with this one. It rides on awesome factory-style Rally wheels with 275/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials. Given the amount of work that went into the build, the asking price is reasonable and the lucky new owner is getting one heck of a pickup. You just won't find a C10 truck anywhere. Call today!
