Description

If you have always wanted a '69 Z/28 RS but just never got around to getting one before the prices for originals went through the roof, or if you have a new appreciation for the beauty and performance of these cars, take a look at this Tribute. It is a first class build with the right look and the proper badging that you don't need to be afraid to drive. This color Blue with the bold white... stripes has got to be about the nicest color combination possible. It shines brightly both in the sun and under the lights. You will attract attention and turn heads while driving this car. Of-course being a Z/28 RS means that you have the super sweet look of hideaway headlights and a blacked-out grill. There is also a deep chin spoiler to help keep air from lifting the front of the car at speed. Z/28 badging appears on the grill and the front fenders as well as boldly on the back of the car between the taillights. The stripes run up the top and sides of the cowl induction hood and then pick back up on the trunk, continuing over the spoiler. All the chrome on the car, from the pencil thin bumpers front and rear to the side mirrors and door handles are all new and shine brightly. Open the door and you will find an all new Black interior with little or no wear. The door panels look sharp with a pleated center section bordered by thin chrome piping. The bucket seats are comfortable with pleated center sections surrounded by smooth vinyl with separate headrests. A three-spoke deep dish steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column with a bowtie center button. The dash is neat, clean and stock. Even the chrome edges trimming out the panel segments are crisp and clean. The speedo is on the left and tach on the right next to the ventilation controls. A factory gauge cluster in the wood grained center console has the fuel, oil pressure, voltage and water temp gauges. Just behind them is the white shift ball and chrome stalk for the 4-speed manual transmission. Fresh carpeting along with a crisp and clean headliner ties this interior together nicely. Pop that cowl induction hood and you will find a healthy 350 cubic inch engine nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay that is nicely detailed out. A chrome air topper has a crossed racing flags decal and announces the engine as a 350. A Holley 4-barrel carburetor feeds an Edelbrock intake manifold. Edelbrock valve covers are the only other chrome on the engine but boy to they look good! New parts include the master cylinder, alternator and its mount, radiator with an electric fan, and also the belts, hoses and battery. Long tube headers lead out to Flowmaster mufflers and chrome exhaust tips. Power steering provides nice drivability and power front disc brakes insure that you can haul this car back down from speed when you decide to let the horses run. The car sits on 275/60R15s in the rear and 235/60R15s in the front mounted on 5-spoke Billet Specialties wheels. Come on down and check out this '69 Z/28 RS tribute that you don't need to be afraid to actually drive. You may decide to go ahead and drive it home.
